Pricey & Can Definitely Help, But Will Depend Upon Your Child's Willingness To Use Them At The Time
The media could not be loaded. These feel very expensive for what they are but that said, if they work for you, it'll be worth it.I got these for my 6 year old who is currently going through a tough phase. I hope that with these, she will be able to express to us what she is feeling at the time. Each little character features their own unique fluid motion and if you've seen the Pixar film "Inside Out", there is a sense of loose familiarity to them. I've included a little video showing each emotion's effect which I hope you find helpful. We've changed the Green one in our house to be more representative of "Worried" or "Confused" (as well as being scared), as that seemed to be a common feeling. My daughter has used them sporadically, occasionally bringing two to us and it starts the conversation and has calmed the mood helping to some resolution. Other times when an issue is occurring, I've asked her to maybe go and get one to show me what she is feeling and she has flat out refused, even questioning what would happen if she threw one at me! That's definitely one way to convey your emotions having some anger literally thrown at you, but in the end, thankfully she didn't. Oh the joys of parenting! So it's a bit hit and miss, and for the cost outlay I'd say on balance for us, it would be hard to justify the price. However on times she has used it, it has been priceless for my (and her) sanity. I asked her what star rating she'd give them, expecting it to be around a 3 or 4 and she surprised me and went full 5 stars. Confused? Understanding a frustrated 6 year old? Better grab the green one and give it a swirl.

Each bottles contents react differently and are linked to that emotion
The media could not be loaded. Brilliant for allowing a child to show you how they are feeling before they are ready to speak about it. Then when they feel ready, the bottles can be used to facilitate conversations around emotions, how to recognise these feelings and what strategies can be used to deal with them. The instruction manual also has tips and tricks around using the bottles. The happy yellow bottle has small, medium and large bits of glitter in, the sad blue has slime in, the scared green has slimy liquid in and the angry red has tiny balls in. All the bottles move differently when shook or turned over, and what’s inside reacts in a way that is linked to the emotion. So the slime in the sad bottle moves really slow and liquid in the scared swirls etc.The bottles are hard plastic so can’t be squeezed / crushed by the hand, they are fully sealed so nothing inside can spill out. Pic is of 5 year old with a bottle in his hand.

Brilliant, durable and a great aid for communication
The media could not be loaded. These are actually great sensory toys as well as being handy communication aids. Each one has a different visual texture within the transparent smooth-to-grip housing. There's a sparkly viscous particle storm that looks like the surface of jupiter in green, there's a glittery golden whirlwind, slow lava-lamp type blobby drip and a multi layered angry red hailstorm. These have been played with quite aggressively and I have no concern about leaks. Two of the faces, blue and green , are more ambiguous which actually helps little voices add their own explanation.

Brilliant product for expressing feelings and for stress relief
The media could not be loaded. I saw this set of express your feelings bottles by Learning Resources and had to get them . This is something that helps young children express and understand their feelings, whether good or bad. Each bottle has a different colour, red for angry feelings with a stern facial expression, green for scared with a worried facial expression, blue for sad with a frowning facial expression and yellow / gold for happy with a smiling facial expression. Each bottle has a different character/ substance and consistency. They're all really relaxing to watch to be honest. This is a good idea for keeping children occupied. I actually ordered this for the senco at work. She was so excited when she saw it. It's a valued addition to our sensory room . Thoroughly recommend.
