King Cole Riot DK Knitting Wool/Yarn Autumn 1841 per 100g Ball

I got this yarn to knit a scarf with, it's lovely and soft, knits up very nicely despite occaissionally the yarn splits and the thickness/thinness can vary but I think that adds to the texture! The colours blend into the next one really well so may not be suitable for very wide garments or blankets. In the photo the scarf is approx 10" across (unblocked) and knitted on 5mm needles. I will definitely be buying some more in different colours as well :)

I love the way the colours blend together. Really good quality wool and very good value for money. I may need to get another colour.

Colours are fabulous and yarn is soft but can split during knitting and as mentioned before, the thickness of the yarn can vary considerably in a row of knitting. This is the reason for giving just three stars.

Lovely and soft with beautiful colours. I wouldn’t class it as DK (see photo taken against another DK yarn), it feels more like 4ply although the thickness varies throughout the ball, so it’s 4ply in places and DK in others.

Excellent arrived within a few days vacuum packed for ease of transport excellent wool beautiful vibrant colours more like a sport weight but as I'm crocheting its ideal needed it to try out some festival tops and its perfect will be buying more of the same

The description claims it’s acrylic, but it’s 30% wool. Unfortunately I am allergic to wool. When it arrived I was really disappointed with the size and the quality. The colours were not as vibrant as the picture. I wa hoping to make a lightweight tunic with it for the end of summer. I know other people have enjoyed working with it but, personally, I think it’s over rated and was not suitable at all.

I bought this for macramé weaving, rather than buying separate colours. this wool has long lengths of colour that all harmonise so I just cut colours for my use.
