Easier to read than many models. I just need it to read my pool temp. It does that easily.

Good gun. Didn’t bother checking the accuracy as I am sending it back…only displays Celsius, not Fahrenheit ….IMO if you’re going to sell a product in the US market, it should be using the measurements we use here. I understand the rest of the world uses Celsius, and I know the equation to get to F but I don’t want to do math when I’m just trying to figure out the temperature on my pans or oven

One week all is well

This Infrared Thermometer is the best I've seen of it's type and price range. I tested the accuracy as best I could with the limited resources I have. I heated a brick in my oven and measured the temperature of the brick against the stoves measurement. The thermometer matched the oven temperature +- about 10 degrees F. The reason for the brick was that it's mass acted to average out the oven's temperature swings which could be +- 30 F. The meter is easy to read with the present temperature max, min and the difference between them. The device has a laser for pinpointing the target as well as a handy chart describing how the are measured becomes larger over a distance. The instructions were unusually good but what I really admired was the extensive tables included with the device. This gives everything from correcting the readings for ambient temperature to the repeatability of the measurements.Well designed and well executed.
