This wine making item is very HEAVY (it is glass) but that is OK because you can use VERY hot water to clean it. I tried a plastic carboy, but it collapsed under stringent cleaning. So, I recommend the glass carboy.

Glass is expensive, but if you are fermenting, don't go cheap! This is a high quality glass and it is designed for the pressure fluctuations of a fermented product. This is exactly what I need!

My fiance used this for his mead making and it works great!

Good price for a 6 gallon carboy. The plug sits flush when installed and is a bit fiddly to get out, but it's air tight.

Carboy is great. Purchased previously. Heavy duty and great quality on the glass. The provided bung is useless. It’s way too small for the opening of the Carboy and almost went right through. My experience is that Carboys vary in sizes at the opening. I had different size bungs and was able to get one that fit. Check the fit before placing any product in.
