Well, it came, I opened it and my Bichone 8 month old immediately tried to eat the "grass" while standing on it. Sigh. So now, I don't know if I should keep it until he's full grown and try again or if I should send it back. I mean, it wasn't cheap, really. Not for him to tear up immediately. I got the 35'x23 size. I thought it fit my 12lb dog quite nicely. The pad that goes under the "grass" is slightly bigger than the grass so it sticks out a little. Not sure that this issue would even impact a dog's use of the grass mat. It's a good idea and it would probably be great for puppy-pad-trained dogs but my dog- not so much.

This is a great product. My chihuahua has been using it for about two months now. I wash the cloth mat and the grass mat in the washer, about every 2 to 3 days. I put them both in the dryer together for about 15 minutes at a time and check to make sure they are okay in between dryingcycles. Both the cloth mat and the grass mat have held up with washing and drying. FYI: My chihuahua did not want to use the grass mat at first, so I tried some artificial dog pee spray. The spray did not work so I collected a few pebbles with a dog poop bag that another dog had peed on at the dog park. I placed the pebbles at the corner of the grass mat and my chihuahua immediately peed on the mat after sniffing the pebbles. I eventually removed the pebbles, and he has used the mat with no hesitation ever since.

My lab puppy tore this a part in a week. I wish there was a way to secure the grass and pad. She just pulled them off of each other. Also, the grass easily comes off and became a earring hazard for her. If I could get my money back for this I would. It’s too damaged to send back. Don’t recommend.

With three dogs, one being a senior, one toddler, and one puppy. This pad has come in handy with potty training, and especially in the middle of the night and on rainy days when they refuse to go outside. We did order a second pad to switch out when the first one is in the wash. The only downfall is the fake grass can hold an odor. We rinse it off daily and soak it in fabuloso every couple of days to help with the odor.

Seems sturdy enough for a small dog. Have not used yet. UPDATE.. Now that my pup is leaving the chewing everything stage and not trying to eat the corners, everything is going well. Using it 100% . Now just hope we can move it outside bit by bit and train to actual grass.

The product is nice. But my dog won't use it. Very light.
