The Wrinkle in Time Quintet

I read the first book. I had found it in a charity shop.I thought this is something I might enjoy reading and I found out about the series on FantasticFiction.com.I was delighted to find it available in this excellent condition and at this decent price. I have not read the set yet.

A Wrinkle in Time: It is so, so refreshing to read a novel where the women are smart in STEM subjects (e.g., Mom is a researcher in molecular biology whose work also touches on physics), but this intelligence is simply woven into the story and is taken as something so normal that it doesn't need to be commented upon: it just is. Madeleine L'Engle is also has a superb, yet easy to read, writing style. Perfect for a 12 or 13 year old. This book was one of my childhood favourites and it is definitely one that I will pass on to my two girls.

As a child I remember other children describing this book with a kind of mysterious sense of awe. I had always wanted to read it and now, as an adult, I finally have. It is a wonderful story that deals with painful childhood experiences turning them into a beautiful sci fi story that celebrates a love of ideas and science. It creates a feeling of deeply sinister impending doom which the children must face and overcome through their own courage and love for one another. Its fabulous.

The best children's science fiction story book ever! I first read A wrinkle in time about 40 years ago when I was a school kid and absolutely loved it! So I've just bought the whole box set for my 8 year old son. It arrived in good time and excellent condition. I hope my son loves it as much as I did!

I read the first book "A Wrinkle inTime" when I was young and recently found there was a series. It's a mixture of Sci Fi and Biblical themes and is great for anyone who wants an alternative to the mainstream genres available. Read it and reread it.

I remember this so fondly from my childhood, and bought this set as a gift for a friend's child. It looked like a well-made box set, sturdy, just the thing an avid young reader will love.

My daughter was taken by A Wrinkle in Time, and asked if the author had written any other books. She received this set as a gift, and was extremely happy with it. She's working her way through the books a lightning speed, so they must be worth reading.

I loved Madeleine L'Engle as a kid and have read many of her books again as an adult. I am going to buy this set with the lovely new cover art and start collecting the rest of the Kairos and Chronos books and the Austin series. I read The Arm of the Starfish first, and it has stayed with me always.

Tolle Geschichte, gute Sammel-Box mit allen Bänden, ich bin begeistert, kann ich nur empfehlen zu lesen! Auch wenn das erste Erscheinungsdatum schon eine Weile her ist vermisst die Geschichte keinerlei Aktualität.
