Perfect for penne for two.
Or rotini or rigatoni or shell pasta. The 3-quart overall capacity handles 2 quarts of water and a half-pound of most short cuts of pasta. I haven't tried cooking egg noodles in it due to their greater overall physical volume which might cause an overflow, but everything else, including farfalle and elbow mac cook up just fine. The straining lid means you won't have to wash a colander or figure out how to fit it in the dishwasher.Spaghetti? Well, that's why I also have its 8-quart ScratchDefense big brother.

Circulon is the best.
Love, love, love this saucepot. I received 2 Circulon frying pans for Christmas and love them. When my Calphalon saucepan started wearing out, I knew I wanted to get this one & it is just a little larger which is what I needed. I highly recommend. So easy to clean & no sticking.

It really might last 200 years. I’ll let you know in 2223
I’ve been cooking for what I consider a long time now, 15 years+. Over that time I’ve gone through a lot of nonstick cookware, but could never seem to find a really good one that retained the nonstick surface for a long time. Circulon A1 has entered the chat.I bought this saucepan a little over a year ago to test out the newest contender since I needed one at the time, and sauce seems to be the thing that makes the biggest caked on mess for me. Especially when I accidentally burn it. And during that time, I’ve made everything in it, not limited to sauces. Anything like eggs, meat, whatever you can think of - anytime I’m making a quantity that’ll fit in that pan, I use it. And I don’t baby it either, I use metal utensils on it all the time because they say it can handle it. And basically - the nonstick coating still looks and feels like it’s brand new. I’ve never seen that before on nonstick anything. So eventually the next time I have to replace one of my nonstick pans I’m going to get another circulon. I wanted to try the steel nonstick series too.

Great non-stick, light weight yet cooks evenly and heats fast
Great non-stick - just the right weight. I don't like the very heavy pots and pans in fashion now - these are so easy to lift.

Excellent cookware
I was adding to my daughter’s set of this model of Circulon. It is everything they say it is, including dishwasher safe. It is worth every penny.

Non-stick pans, easy to clean, all handles stay cool
I bought a whole set of the Circulon pots and pans when I got my induction cooktop. I am amazed at how little oil I can use now. I needed an extra saucepan and bought this one. It meets my needs mostly, although I wish it was a four-quart unit. This saucepan and all the Circulon pots and pans work great on my induction cooktop. They are a nice heavy weight, well-balanced, very easy to clean. Most important: they are dishwasher safe. The handles on the pans and on the lids do not get got at all, so gloves and potholders are completely unnecessary. Also, the glass lids on the saucepans have a drain, which is very handy.

Love Circulon
I started ordering lighter weight pots last year because I gave my whole Circulon set from the 90’s to my son for his apt. I started using a copper bottom set that I had. Got them as a gift few years ago . I used them about 2 yrs, until October or November 2023. I finally said “no more” - too heavy and pesky to clean the copper bottoms. Last year I bought some Calphalon & some All-Clad anodized aluminum pots. I like them but I needed some smaller size pots and went back to Circulon. I received them this past week , 2 qt & the 3 quart size sauce pot! A little bit heavier than the other brands, but strong! I love them. I’ve never had a problem with any non-stick Anodized pots. The problems people are complaining about with any brand of these aluminum non stick pots, usually because of not following directions on usage. I never put them in the dishwasher. I never NEVER USE METAL UTENSILS. I never start them on a hot heat. I always start them on low heat until the pot heats up, then I turn dial up. I find that I can fry and boil water on a medium heat very quickly with these pots. I have no problem with the glass covers they are glass! you cannot put glass in a cold sink or under cold water when hot. That would be like washing your car in 90° weather and you get a crack in your windshield. Both of these smaller pots came in from two different locations. one from California one from the New York facility. neither one of them was damaged at all. they are beautifully made and if they are not abused, you’ll have them forever. like I said, it was only a couple of years ago that I gave my son my whole Circulon set that I bought back in the 90s. He loves them!
