Would buy again
Good quality light. I did replace bulbs with LED

Poor quality control makes this an unreliable product.
Have to agree with other reviewers, needs better quality control. This is the second one of these I've bought. The first one failed where the common ground wire broke off inside the lamp. This latest one has the anchor bulb leaning over because the metal bracket isn't bent properly to a right angle, meaning the connection to the bulb is somewhat unreliable.

Great product but needs better quality control.
Great product that has been around for a while. I purchased this (same model) to replace a broken light. The first one came with one of the wire attachment tabs missing (is was never installed). I returned it and bought a second one. This one came with one of the O rings pinched and one of the bulbs not attached to it's base. I swapped the bulb with LED bulbs and the O ring was able to be used once put in the grove properly. Better quality control would catch these problems.

Works great, but is for a larger size boat
This light set is well built and easy to install but is too big for my J24.

HELLA '2984 Series' 12V DC Masthead light...Defective!
Delivered in a timely fashion and undamaged. However, contact required to power Tri-light was not installed rendering light useless as is. Since boat is departing in three days, return/replacement not an option. Spent about an hour to modify and make work. Considering this fixture cost $156.00 landed in Bermuda I am NOT impressed, consequently only one star. Not your usual high standard HELLA.

It is hard to find combo units like this that are legal for larger boats (up to 65 feet).
