Work like a charm but tough install.
These look and work great. Only complaint is that the rails don't span the full length of the pinch weld like rock rails would. Also the install says 3 to 4 hours but it took me most the day and I'm somewhat handy. For it to look right I ran the switch to the glove box and under the carers and everything. Instructions have it come out near the steering wheel which I dint love.Quality seems very solid and the motors seem very durable. Also like that if one motor fails at any point it can be replaced somewhat easily.

Great 👍 🚙
The media could not be loaded. Nice kit and works great. It was a little tricky to install and I wish the ground wires were a little longer but I got it done and it looks professional. Use any YouTube videos as guidance but I wouldn't fallow them to a T. I found that some of the videos for the JLs were more informative then for the JTs and some of the professional installation videos looked sloppy. I added pictures of the location I put the sensors and electrical to help guide someone else. I couple tips make sure your motors line up with the running boards and use the included spacers to square up the running boards if needed. Just because you did one side the same dose not mean the other will be. The hardest part was running the wires for the motors to the driver side. I first tried running through the frame but it didn't work and I had a wire shortage so don't waste your time there. I ended up just running them on one side of the front skid plates. Good Luck and take your time and don't rush through it.

good quality and fitment is great
Like the product, but the directions leave a little Mistry to the install, could have been better, even the youtube video was lacking clarity!

Love them
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been wanting these for a while. When they dropped in price I went for it. Couldn’t be happier with them. They are extremely sturdy and well made. The motors operate very smoothly, and the led lights are bright. I love how they look like rock sliders when they are up. My wife and kids can now get in with no problem. Install took about 8 hours.

Complete Garbage - Don’t Do it…
Don’t waste your money or your time. If you bought your Jeep to use it for its intended purpose - then purchasing these is a waste of money and time.Make sure if you do buy these that you understand that they are not meant for off-road and that they offer no protection whatsoever to your Jeep. Also be aware that Rough Country will not honor any warranty claim you make if you purchase them through amazon. They look cool - but don't do it - I slid off a small rock on my drivers side and the rock just bent right through the “rock rail like” running board and damaged both the door and the door frame. Also you would expect the controller on something that is made to install on the outside of the vehicle to be waterproof but it is not. Rough Country got my money and is not giving it back - buyer beware. Also you can’t purchase any of the pieces separately.I learned my lesson and I will never buy anything from Rough Country ever again.

Straightforward, easy install. Looks great, makes my wife happy!
These are installed on a 2020 Jeep Gladiator with a 2" mopar lift and 35" tires. The factory side steps look nice, but are kinda worthless as they are almost at the same height as the interior floor of the jeep. I love how these power steps maintain the lifted look of the jeep, but drop down to a very friendly step height. My wife is so happy now! The installation was very easy and only needed basic tools. This kit is totally plug-n-play too, so thats great. Honestly, the hardest part was rolling around under the jeep fishing the wire harness through, and making sure it's all tucked up and zip tied securely, and that wasn't hard at all. I made the mistake of installing these a few weeks after I had the jeep Fluid Filmed. So t was a messy disaster, and added an hour to my time. Overall, this took me about 8 hours: an hour to remove my old steps, the expected 6 hours to do the install, with an extra hour peppered in dealing with the mess of the fluid film getting all over everything and me! Do this install before fluid film!!!

Not for the tinkerer
Now that they are done, I like them. The factory plastic steps were a joke. It took a lot longer than (several days) than the installation instructions or video will have you believe. If you can't put your rig on a lift, it becomes much harder to install. The instructions are lack luster and the video skips a lot of difficult steps. After it was all installed and I tested it, the right side worked but the left did not. After several phone calls, Rough Country shipped me an entire new unit even though it was determined that the problems was a bad switch. Of course I left everything installed and just changed the switch and like magic it worked. I don't want to rewrite their entire manual but here is some advice: Look through the instructions first and make sure you understand the whole thing because there are missing labels etc. The motor assemblies will come in the closed position so use a 12V source with aligator clips to open them for easy install. You will have to drill two holes through 3-4 thicknesses of sheet metal so make sure you have some sharp bits. Make yourself a template for the wholes and don't go with their advice od "about 5 inches away from the first hole and remove material as needed", If you're going to do this at home without a lift, make sure you can fit all the way under your truck. Use magnets to line up and screw a number of the parts; a second set of hands will only get in the way. Do a rough install and then check everything for operation before you tidy up because you will have to make adjustments. Last but not least, the parts are heavy so make sure they have a soft spot to land on in case they slip out of your hand so you con't mess up the paint. Good luck!
