Almost felt like the box was empty. I pulled it out and it's light plastic on the brink of destruction. HOWEVER... the lights are large and they do their job. Now I have to admit, I almost sent this back, but a non-toxic spray, that I found, wasn't as effective, or quick, as I'd liked it to be. I'm really glad that I forgot to take it with me, when I went out, and never returned it. Later, in the day, the flies returned and I unpacked it. Wow. Light and cheap. Still... I plugged it in, turned the lights off and left it in the kitchen to do its work. That night, the cracks were loud enough to startle my cats. This thing is a serious killer. Worth every penny. The ONE thing that I might mention, is the cord. I would've preferred something more substantial but it's just a preference and won't affect my rating. Omt, the crackle is a VERY satisfying sound, especially when you hear your first bug fry.

I was worried if the LED lamp would perform as well as the traditional fluorescent lamps. After a week I can confirm that it does attract bugs. My work area doesn’t have a lot of bugs that I’m aware of, but judging from the amount of bugs on the catch gray, it looks like there were more bugs than I thought. Although flies don’t seem to be that attracted to UV light. I’ve only seen one fly getting trapped. Update: It's been a year and the light is still going strong. Just today it zapped 3 bugs. One note is that placement of these lights are very important. If using indoor, you want to place near a corner that help funnel the bug towards the light. Or consider putting something directly to it's sides and shape it like a funnel, that also seems to help. Update (04/2025) Coming close to the 2 year mark and I'm noticing that the lights are now much dimmer. Note that I had been running this light pretty much 24/7 since I bought it, so it's been about 15,000 hours of use. I'm unsure if this is expected degradation for LED bulbs or should I be looking for a different light. Will also explore the option to replace the bulbs if I can take this light apart.

Works well, extremely short cord USB style cord with no socket part though. Easy enough to clean out. I use them in multiple sites. Including inside a greenhouse.

I had a bad problem with yellow jackets. Tried many solutions but none worked. I was looking for a flat panel zapper because the round or square ones won't work for me. The yellow jackets were in the roof where the front wall meets near our front door. Mounted the zapper against the wall on one end and against the roof on the other. A little creative blocking with soft packing foam and duck tape and it was good to go. This thing was amazing. In two days my problem was pretty much solved. Will leave it up for the next week or so. The eggs in the nest will hatch and the problem will start again so gonna get the rest in a few days. Did not have the mounting very good and the zapper fell about six feet and bounced off the concrete. It still works. Nothing broke. Just a warning to anyone trying this. Yellow jackets are very tough. Although many were instantly killed, many fell to the ground and remained alive for quite some time. They weren't moving much but I wouldn't want pets or anyone near them until they died. Overall, this bug zapper was great. Left it on at night and fried a ton of mosquitoes. Good purchase.

J'utilise habituellement ce type de lampe tous les ans en période estivale, et cette année j'ai acheté ce nouveau modèle en raison de sa facilité d'utilisation et de sa mobilité, puisque je peux le brancher directement sur une source 5v (chargeur de téléphone) ou même dans un powerbank , comme je l'utilise maintenant. comme ça je peux le transporter n'importe où (voir les photos) En terme de qualité, les photos parlent d'elles-mêmes ! La capture des mouches et des moustiques est implacable et le résultat est sans appel. Quant au bruit, il est le même que n'importe quelle autre lampe du type. Bon produit et je le recommande.
