Preparing for an impending house move (and therefore the upcoming property viewings), I knew a physical measuring tape just wasn't going to cut it to make my own measurements. Much quicker and easier to use a laser, especially if viewing a property with the seller's belongings still in place.I opted for the Tadeto laser measure as it was both a good price and has multiple buttons. A one button device often requires many more presses and remembering what each type of button press does. Here, we have buttons which largely control just one function, and if they do have a second function, it's not one which conflicts with the primary one.Buttons are clearly marked, with symbols which are easy to interpret. The manual explains each function clearly, and the digital display is easy to read. Thankfully, that manual is in proper English, not a sloppy and unclear Japanese to English translation. It also displays which measurement to take when using the Pythagorean measurement modes and shows an error if you take the measurements in the wrong order.Plenty of memory slots if you need to keep a history of the measurements as you take them, and the area, volume and Pythagorean modes take mental arithmetic gymnastics out of the process. The measurements are mm perfect but there's the useful calibration mode if you do find accuracy isn't quite perfect.I tend to prefer my electronic devices to use replaceable batteries rather than soldered-in rechargeable cells. Once the supplied alkaline are used up, I'll switch to my preferred 1.5v Lithium rechargeables. The pouch and wrist strap are useful accessories.Once I relocate, I'll continue to use this device over a physical tape measure for any DIY or general household tasks. Very happy with my purchase so far.

Well packaged item, comprehensive manual and easy to use, comes with two built in levels and multi measuring abilities allowing you to calculate measurements by adding and subtracting and calculating angles.Perfect price for a great little tool..!

It's not bad, but if you can't see the laser pointer on the opposite surface, the reader won't either. 50m is a long way to see a dot the size of a full stop.

At £14 I didn't expect much. I was wrong. Well built thick plastic, accurate (and you can adjust for error +/- 9mm which I did not need to do as it was spot on accurate straight from the box), easy to use and read. Pressing a button changes between metric and imperial, so you only need measure once and then press the button to get the same reading in the other units. Extremely happy with this little item.

Took me a minute to figure it out but it does work as advertised for basic measuring. You do need a fairly steady hand as too much wobble while taking measurement can understandably result in an error.

This laser measure is very easy to use and proves accurate measurements. I used it to measure up between two walls for floor joists and they fitted perfectly after cutting. It saves a lot of messing about with a tape measure.

This laser measure device is a very useful to have if you want to save on time measuring things.It is solidly built but feels lightweight and easy to hold. It works very accurately and makes it extremely easy and simple to measure floors, doors, walls, windows, etc. It really makes distance measurements much more convenient. The backlit LCD display screen is easy enough to read and I have had no issues with it so far.This takes 2 x AAA batteries which were included though I would have preferred it if this was rechargeable via USB like many gadgets nowadays. It also comes with a handy storage pouch and a lanyard.Overall, a good quality tool that provides fast & accurate measurements. It is reasonably priced at £24.99 (price at the time of writing this review).
