Not sure if you mean centigrade or Fahrenheit. My device has no problem hitting pottery kiln temperatures at over 190Of. Be sure you are not trying to get a temp reading on a reflective surface.

Hi, thanks for asking. For BT-1500, The ratio of distance to measurement spot is 30:1, so the measuring distace is not fixed but based on the diameter of the measuring area. e.g : if the measurement spot is 10cm, you can measure it within 300cm.
