In my Hunt for a Good Sports Watch the Suunto Vertical is my Best Option. Most of the Watches I was looking at were focused mostly on Runners, and They probably purchase most of these Items. I was looking for a Balanced Sports Watch the Activities most interested in Walking, Kayaking, Fishing, Swimming and Cycling. A Must have Feature for me Was Water Temp While Swimming and Most of the the Watches I was Interested in did not have This Feature. Tried a Watch from a Different Manufacturer and was not pleased with the Accuracy and Return it. So Far the Suunto Vertical is my Best Option. The Build Quality and Accuracy are Very Good and the Battery Life is Impressive. I Would Have Given it 5 Stars but the Instructions were not as good as I Expected. Great Product Overall.

DOESNT MATTER THIS WATCH HAS 1 GOOD FEATURE, BATTERY LIFE, IF OVERALL QUALITY SUCKS, LAGGY, SLUGGISH, OUTDATED INTERFACE, COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMIZATION, LACK OF IMPORTANT INFO IN SPORTS MODES, A LOT OF BUTTON PRESSING TO GET TO RIGHT INFO, IN MERMAID AND SNORKELING MODE WITH NAVIGATION, SCREEN BLACKS OUT INSTEAD OF SHOWING COMPASS WHILE SCROLLING THRU PROGRESS DISPLAYS. NON RELIABLE PRODUCT AND WHAT MORE IMPORTANT NOT RELIABLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM SUUNTO, I WOULD SAY NON EXISTENT. BEFORE YOU BUY THEY WILL ASSURE YOU OF 2 YRS WARRANTY, IF YOU HAVE THE WATCH AND START HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN, THEY DONT HAVE A PHONE #, DONT RESPOND TO EMAILS AND THEIR CHAT IS A TIME WASTING JOKE IF YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE A CHAT. The charging mechanism’s magnets are too weak to secure the charger to the watch.

After using the Suunto Vertical for two years, I finally decided to leave a review to help future buyers avoid the frustration I’ve gone through. Despite turning off every automatic update setting I can find, this watch forces updates whether you want them or not. And every time it updates, it completely resets — meaning you have to set it up again from scratch, just like it’s new. Re-entering all my preferences and data profiles takes well over an hour each time. Then there are the notifications. I’ve disabled everything in the settings multiple times, but I still get constant alerts. For example, during a run, the watch will interrupt me to say I’ve reached 50% of my weekly training goal — even though I’ve turned all of that off. To clear it, I have to stop, push buttons, and deal with a disruption I didn’t ask for. After countless emails to customer support and endless attempts to fix these issues, I’ve come to this conclusion: You’re not just buying a watch — you’re signing up for a two-hour-a-month hobby of reconfiguring it over and over. If you value stability, control of your own settings, or simply don’t want unwanted updates and alerts, think carefully before buying.

Love the watch, but he wrist bands are short for men. Second Suunto watch and both come with short wrist bands. Makes me mad to have to spend 600 dollars on a watch and have to buy a watch band just to wear it. Disclaimer o solar but it is discribed as having solar

Very laggy, battery drains fast! With Iphone 17, it simply refuses to work; HR Chest Bands have connection issues. Bluetooth connetion is a problem. Support is very limited to non-existant. Optical HR is unreliable, all over the place.

The watch is great, but the watch is more suited for runners and hikers, the wach is good but it lacks weight training features so I find myself using my Garmin more, but if you run outdoors or hike it should serve you well.

10/10 watch is great Durability : very good - I did bump few times on some walls - no scratch on metal or glass. Display : my personal opinion is that is very good. Wasn't looking for flashy or colorful. The display is good enough to see in almost level of light. You get to play with the features - cool stuff like temperature, sunrise and sunset (depends on app sync) Connectivity : Fast and in background. App is very user friendly and easy to setup. Configuration : Easy once you get used to it. Battery - awesome awesome - if Bluetooth is disabled, you can forget it's a smartwatch. Features : well it has tons - displays maps - that require download and sync though - has almost anything else that other smartwatch will have, and then some. side buttons are configurable, which is a blast. Can mute the notifications easily. It is not heavy, and the straps are comfy and does not wet hands. If you can invest in this, go ahead.

Great watch , a little complex to download map . The battery exceed my expectation more then 10 days

I have had numerous suunto watches in the past and they have all been great. This on has amazing functionality and a definite upgrade over my previous 9 baro. What isn’t so great is the watch case has some sharp corners on the bottom. I have a pronounced wrist bone and when wearing the watch it digs into this spot on my wrist. So much so that while biking it shakes enough it cut my skin. I’ve now had to stick some foam padding to my new watch. Kind of a bummer as my other watches did leave a bit of a red mark on my skin there it was never uncomfortable or would injure me.

Highly recommend this watch. Husband loves it
