The media could not be loaded.  I recently purchased a fantastic vegetable peeler that makes preparing veggies a breeze. Its sharp blade effortlessly glides through tough skins and its comfortable handle provides a secure grip. I highly recommend this peeler to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient kitchen tool.

It's somewhat like the more classic design, but is a bit "too much". The handle has a nice grip, but I think is a bit too big. It's sharp as can be, so that's a major plus. I lost the little plastic guard for the blade the first time I took it off. The little doohickey at the end for gouging things like potato eyes is horrible.

Nice quality peeler with straight blades in both directions making it easy for my left-handed wife and my right-handed self to use.

Handle feels great and durable. However, during an aggressive potato pealing session the blade popped out the bottom holding pin a few times. It went back in but definitely a weak spot.

I like the large handle, the way I can grip it comfortable. It's sharp and work's quite well. I use it on carrots. It comes with a clear plastic blade protector and you can store it in your drawer with it if you want to. It did fine in my dishwasher.

While the actual peeling works well, a major design blunder is the way the eye remover at the tip is facing. See my picture for comparison with my old peeler: in the Deiss, the cutting edge of the eye remover faces the same way as the peeling blade instead of the opposite way. This weird choice requires that the peeler be rotated 180 degrees in the hand every time a potato eye needs to be removed or use an awkward motion without rotation. When holding the peeler in eye removal position, one also risks cutting one’s thumb, which then is close to the sharp blade and pushing toward it.
