Amazing product! High quality material and it really is light blocking. Easy to install and use. We purchased it for a skylight and had it measured so we can slide it close for those hot sunny days we don’t want the sun heating our loft area. Works better than expected. Already recommended this product to friends and family.

Great product that blocks the light for sleeping, and dramatically reduces the summer heat from the sun through the roof mounted skylight. I was somewhat concerned about my measurements but the unit fit perfectly. Had to fiddle a bit with the drawstrings to get the right tension so that the shade would hold in any partial open/close position. This was sort of a test purchase for quality and function, but now I plan to order more for other rooms.

I have wanted one of these shades for years. the sun was blasting through our skylight like the apocalypse. Yes, end of times. But, politics aside, this shade works great. Fits very well but NOT like a glove. Just do your measurements many times and have someone else check your numbers if possible. The company, Moonice, was very attentive to that, sending several emails to make sure I was on the right track. This item was manufactured to spec and sent in a week or so. It was packed like the Mona Lisa, very professional. The instructions were very clear and I strongly advise that customers clear a working space to assemble the product. Use your best philips head. Now the room I used to use to sunbathe in is very muted and comfortable. And my air conditioner likes it too! Moonice provided a very high quality product for a fraction I would have paid to the truly insane money grabs from "known peepo"... if you catch my drift. If anyone is not comfortable with assembly and installation I would find a competent friend or local handyperson to do it for you. It's worth it. I wish I could do every window in my house...really.

This one star because of my neighbor's yard lights. Thought from the discrimination it would do the job. It does look nice and easy ish to put together.

We love our new skylight blinds! We had no problem putting them together. Installation was easy, just 2 screws on each side. Very lightweight, but effective. We got the light-filtering. Our only problem was reaching the skylights and that had nothing to do with the product. We should have ordered these sooner.

Wow, this worked great on my skylight! We had shades installed by a professional in our home. He looked at the skylight, which is on a slanted wall, and said they could not install a shade because the bottom sill was at an angle. I didn't get it because there was still a square "box" around the window. I measured carefully and ordered this kit. I put it together in 10 minutes, and it fit perfectly. Just four screws and it was installed securely in the window frame. Looks and works great! Not cheap, but well worth it...Recommended.

I ordered two of these for our skylights. One of them installed and adjusted tension easily. For the other one, we heard the sound of a small plastic piece falling to the ground when we unpackaged it. We couldn't find the plastic piece and weren't sure if it was unimportant and part of the packaging or not. Turns out it was important, as we quickly found out that the blind was impossible to tension properly. After deconstructing the blind and inspecting it, we found the string that is used to tension the blinds was slipping through the cellular shades because the knots had been improperly tied (two in series instead of two on top of each other). The issue with the knots is also what presumably allowed a small grommet to fall out and to the floor when it was unpackaged (the sound of a plastic piece falling to the ground that we heard). We were able to re-thread the blinds using a long needle and found a small washer that worked as a makeshift grommet since we were never able to find the original. After reassembling the blinds, we found the strings used for tensioning were significantly too long to properly tension the blinds and had to be trimmed much shorter. In addition, one of the side aluminum pieces was missing one of the pre-drilled holes used for mounting, so we had to drill our own. If both blinds had been like the first one we installed I would have been pretty happy with our purchase, but the other one was a lemon and soured the experience, turning what should have been a trivial install into a multi-hour project. The blinds themselves work as advertised (once installed) and do a great job in blocking sunlight and heat.

We are very happy with the purchase. Affordable solution for non standard size window ceiling. Good communication with the seller, adjustment of the sizes before purchasing. Easy to install if you know how to drill aluminum frame. No complaints. Thank you

This is a simple and effective blind to cut our heat and light from our skylight. Our skylight is above our kitchen table and the heat and light was a problem. It also was the most cost effective solution.

Fit very well, can adjust the cord inside with a screw, to make them tighter. They look very nice. We framed them after installation for an extra pop to their look. Keep out the heat and sunlight also.

Wish I had bought this years ago. Looks so attractive and keeps out the heat from a south-facing skylight! Very happy with this purchase.
