Burgon & Ball Sophie Conran Galvanized Trug, 33.5 cm Length x 21 cm Width x 13.5 cm Height, Silver

Lovely metal trug, my windowsill by the back door was covered with gardening gloves, secateurs, seed packets etc. This was the tidy I needed. Neat and stylish it makes even everyday items look good. It is fairly small but that is what I wanted to fit the sill, just ensure that you measure up before buying in case you were expecting bigger.

Good size to put a few bits in to take to the allotment. Because there aren't too many compartments, you can lay longer things down in it which is very useful!

Ideal for wee jobs around the garden.

This was bought to keep small gardening tools in to transport round the garden.

Appearance:-The product description states: "Hand-made from zinc, which is aged to give character" This is simply wrong. The product is not made from zinc. instead, it is made from steel that has been galvanized (zinc-plated) ; and since it has not been aged, the product has a shiny and shoddy appearance.Size:-Wrongly, With it coming under the Burgoon & Ball brand I had assumed that the product had been correctly-proportioned. It is too small in each of the three dimensions. The blame for not spotting this is partly for me. That said, one should be able to trust a well-known brand.Robustness:-The article is very flimsy and the metal sheet should have been stronger.Designer:-Sophie Conran is cited as the designer of the product. I would be interested to know if she is a gardener with any meaningful experience. Judging by this shoddy and ill-proportioned article, she is not.Instead of this product:Yesterday I ordered from Amazon a sturdy, strong plastic receptacle designed for household cleaning materials and cloths. I have checked the dimensions of this and it is perfect for use as a trug for small garden tools.Finally:Though seeing immediately that it was badly designed and sized., I thought that I would give it a try. This confirmed that it was rubbish and now I cannot return it.A bad experience all round and a waste of money.

Very sturdy product which shouldn’t rust as it’s galvanised steel. I would have liked it to be a bit larger to accommodate more tools but if you like good quality then it’s perfect.

Poor value for money not up to much

Totally love this trug! I’ve got it holding my face cream, serums etc next to my mirror and it’s perfect. I’m so pleased as it’s a little different and looks cool I think. Would buy again for the price; verhappy!
