Dead – Completely Useless
This Toshiba S300 1TB drive has been nothing but a disappointment from the moment I received it. It hasn’t worked. Installed it in my DVR system, and it wasn’t recognized at all. Tried it with a PC—still dead. No spin-up, no detection, no life. Just a completely useless brick. For a product marketed as “reliable surveillance-grade storage,” this is unacceptable. I expected Toshiba to uphold a basic standard of quality control, but clearly, that wasn’t the case here. I’ve wasted time, effort, and money trying to troubleshoot something that was Dead. Very frustrating when you buy something to secure your property—and the hardware itself fails. Do yourself a favor and skip this model. There are far better options out there that actually work
