OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener | Clear & Opaque Crème Nail Polish Treatment | Strengthen Weak & Thin Nails

I can see this making my nails a little stronger than they were when the gel polish was taken off 3 days ago. I did 2 coats of the nail strengthener, 2 coats of a sheer dnd color and one more coat of the strengthener. It dries quickly, but I do a lot of check writing at work and where my pointer finger touches the pen, the polish gets pushed up and reveals my bare nail. It’s polish, but it’s not 100% hard like polish. It doesn’t chip like polish either. It lifts and little pieces peel off, but it’s not a lot. I’m going to keep using it and see if I can stand my nails without gel for a while. I got the shade, pink to envy and it’s basically a clear coat.

I like the color a lot. If you don't use the free app, Yuka, you will be missing out on knowing what foods and cosmetics contain potentially harmful chemicals. They are rated from zero - 100. The nail polish I'd been using has a Zero (Bad) Rating and this Opi nail polish has an 83 excellent rating. Note that brands may have Bad, Poor, Good, and Excellent ratings for different products. So don't assume that one excellent product from a brand means that all are rated excellent.

I recently had French tips painted onto my natural nails at a salon. This polish is what the tech used for the pink. I wanted a natural nail color, not the opaque or very pink colors I've seen used by other salons. She said this would look natural and was a strengthening polish too. I think the color is perfect! It's very, very slightly pink but in the bottle, it's see thru hot pink. That's deceiving because as you can see in the picture, it's not hot pink at all. I do construction for a living and though I wear gloves moat of the day, my hands and nails get dry and sometimes the nails get brittle and break. I've used this for 2 weeks and so far no breaking. The polish is high shine so if you're looking for a matte finish, keep hunting. I feel like as hard on my hands/nails as I am due to my line of work, the polish holds up really well for the better part of a week, and though it's clear, I do see some chipping at the tips of my nails after about a week. Once I removed the polish the nail tech initially painted on, I felt my nails were truly strengthened which is what prompted me to buy the polish so I could keep up on keeping my nails healthy.

First pic is April 22, 2024, before any nail envy. Second pic is April 23, the day I first applied. Third pic is April 29. I’d been getting my nails done with gel X in October to stop biting them. It got pricey and I didn’t feel like I was going to bite them anymore so I stopped getting sets in early March. My natural nails have always been weak and bendy due to biting with shortened nail beds as a result. Having gel x solved the biting and allowed my nail beds to recover and lengthen, and my nails are a lot stronger for it, but they still need a little help while the portion of my nails that had been filed down for gel x grow out. This is only 1 week of use but I think it’s helpful. It at least makes the rougher surface of the nail look smooth in a way regular polish wouldn’t. I do think it adds some structure as well. Two of my nails broke (middle and pinky) in the last week but that’s not nail envy’s fault, that’s just damage from gel x growing out. I have been maintaining them with regular filing when the edge of my nail gets scraggly even while using nail envy and I think that is helping too. Tips 1: It dries quickly, but it’s sort of deceptive - it stays malleable for a while after being dry to the touch, and if you get a wrinkle in it it WILL bubble and peel off. So even once “dry”, try not to touch anything that could mess with them for about an hour so they fully harden. I apply it when I know I’ll just be typing or doing something on my phone so I know I won’t mess with it before it cures. Tip 2: THIN layers. You want enough on the brush that you don’t have to dip back in to the bottle to get more so you can cover the nail without it being streaky, but not any more than that or it’ll stay malleable for too long. Tip 3: by the third our fourth layer, it usually bubbles after you put it on and is prone to peeling anyway, so honestly I just modify the instructions and have only been aiming to get a total of 3-4 layers on. I’m not sure how to get it to make it to a total of 8 layers (2 first day and 6 from daily applications). Oh well. I like it anyway!

This polish is worth every cent! I am always working in the garden and that wreaks havoc on my nails. Since using this product for 2 my nails have stayed perfect. I put on 2 coats of color and one coat of clear. Absolutely the best polish ever.

My podiatrist recommended this brand for strengthening my nails. I've used it on my hands and toes. For some years it worked quite well and then it seemed like the formula changed and it chips easily so I can't leave it on my nails more than a day or two. That is disappointing. I liked the color and that it dried pretty quickly but I don't have time to redo my nails so frequently.

Love this strengthener. Can watch my nails grow so fast. The only one that irks for me. Coverage is smooth and drys fast. Stays on till I remove my polish.

This stuff is deceiving. It initially works well but with several uses, your fingernail layers start to peel away. Not a good idea to use this. Very disappointed!

Llevo años buscando un tratamiento que realmente fortalezca mis uñas y este OPI Nail Envy ha sido un descubrimiento maravilloso. Tengo uñas naturalmente débiles que se rompen con facilidad, pero desde que uso este producto he notado una mejora increíble en apenas tres semanas. Se puede usar solo como esmalte o como base antes del color, y en ambos casos funciona de maravilla. La fórmula con proteína de trigo y calcio realmente se nota, no es un producto más. Mis uñas ahora son mucho más resistentes, crecen mejor y ya no se descaman ni se parten como antes. La aplicación es fácil, el pincel es de buena calidad y se seca rápido. Una botella dura bastante tiempo porque con una capa fina es suficiente. Lo uso como base antes de aplicar otros esmaltes y he notado que el color dura mucho más sin descascarillarse. También lo he usado solo durante semanas y mis uñas se ven sanas, con brillo natural y ese color tan bonito que me encanta. Es un producto profesional que realmente cumple lo que promete. Si tienes uñas débiles, quebradizas o simplemente quieres mejorar su salud y apariencia, este tratamiento es una inversión que vale muchísimo la pena. OPI es una marca en la que confío plenamente y este Nail Envy es uno de mis productos favoritos de belleza.
