My dog has a sensitive stomach, and these are perfectly suited for her—one ingredient. She gets a gleam in her eyes whenever I offer her one of these chews. They are a great size for a small or medium dog; they can be cut lengthwise or into shorter chews if you like. (My friend’s big dogs love them, too, and devour them quickly.)

Our dogs eat these everyday. But do not overfeed them. Or they will get a little bit spoiled and not enjoy them as much as they were. Before you over indulge. Good quality. The dogs enjoy.

UPDATE #2: The issue with the smell the first time I ordered was definitely storage. Second order and the product is perfect. I am SO GLAD I can get these turkey tendons that actually single ingredient!! Great for our little dog, who has a delicate stomach and delicate teeth. :) UPDATE: First if all, my dog did not care about the shampoo smell and the tendons did not make her stomach upset (she throws up easily, so it’s not hard to tell.) After a couple of weeks the smell dissipated, so my guess is that the problem had to do with warehouse storage and not the product itself. I just ordered another bag, and hopefully it will have a neutral odor. I REALLY appreciate being able to purchase a truly single ingredient treat, which is so hard to find (most turkey tendons have glycerin, which makes our dog throw up) so I’m changing my review to four stars. Will update to five if the next package comes without smelling like fragranced soap! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was excited to find "single ingredient" turkey tendons, because so many are made with glycerin and my dog throws that up. But these are literally scented!?! Gives me a headache. At first I thought it was the bag they came in, but the tendons themselves smell like strongly scented shampoo or hair conditioner. I don't know what is going on, but not sure how these can be marketed as "single ingredient" when they are infused with a synthetic fragrance.

Of course my dog loves them because she is a dog, and they are meat. Positives: •They are 100% made/processed and packed in the USA, which is hard to find. •They are made with just one ingredient •My dog’s tummy handled these very well. Negatives: •I was not impressed with whatever the dark flecks in the package are. Is that burned matter from baking them? Why are those not removed before packaging? •They smell stale, like oil that has gone off, which is not as good for for the health of creatures of any kind.

My dog loves turkey tendons. This was my first time ordering this brand. I have only used Afreshi turkey tendon strips in the past. He loved them and had no issues with them, but in the interest of saving money I bought this brand. I noticed right away a different look than my former brand. They were flattened for lack of a better word, and seem more stringy. I noticed my 18 lb chihuahua mix had a harder time chewing them. One night i just happened to be sitting and watching him as he chewed and noticed he was gagging. I pulled this long tendon out of his throat. I am thankful i just happened to be watching him. I would warn anyone no matter what the brand to really watch your dog when eating these. I cut them short for him, and have already ordered his former brand.
