Garrett at PRO with MS-2 Headphones and 50" Travel Carry Bag

I had bought a cheaper metal detector from a different company and had to send it back. I purchased this one in its place. It works great and is easy to figure out. I haven't found any valuable treasures yet but I have found random things I wouldn't have otherwise found.

Have only used this a few times but appears to be great! I haven't learned all the features though. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have wear the headset with it at all times!

This is one of the best metal detectors I have owned. My advice would be to get to know your new machine by testing it on known targets at known depths buried (in your back yard) as a "test garden." Use copper and zinc cents, old and new nickels, silver and clad dimes, silver and clad quarters, pull tabs, can slaw, bottle caps, etc. The better you know your machine and can ID targets from the readings, the more success you will have.

I have had this for a few weeks now, using it every weekend. It's fantastic!! I strongly suggest you watch the instructional videos that Garrett has on youtube, they are very helpful. It does seem a bit pricey for a beginner, BUT if you want a metal detector that can be used to learn and used once you gain experience, this it the one.The only thing I regret is not getting the Anniversary Edition package. I thought I would want the bag for storage.....I've yet to use it. The Garrett pinpointer in the Anniversary set is worth way more than the bag.

I got this for my GF, who loves to treasure hunt. I did alot of research and determined that this one is a great balance of near-professional quality and affordable price. She has another cheaper metal detector that was a disappointment. As soon as she started using this one, she knew it was the real deal. Great purchase!

Love this machine!

After taking it on a beach trip and watching the Garrett how to videos online I started finding some good stuff on the beach. $3.88 in various coins...and a 14k gold ring with 8 small diamonds!!! Be dedicated to learning the machine and don’t expect to pick it up on the first day and find a gold mine. I have had a great time so far.

This purchase was an upgrade from my old metal detector and I am very happy with it.
