Ordered this specifically for emergencies and after doing a cpr course i learned that Hemostatic gauze is important to have on hand if you suspect life threatening bleeding due to its ability to clot blood. This only comes with one piece but it's 2 foot long and perfect size for anyone with a major injury. Hopefully I'll never have to use it but I'm glad to have it just in case and should be a staple in everyone's first aid kit OR CAR.

My husband has a low platelet count so got this to add to his emergency kit. It came in quite handy just a few days later when he cut himself while working in the yard. I applied the treated gauze pad to his cut and applied pressure and the bleeding stopped in less than 2 minutes, which hardly ever happens. It is quite pricey for just one pad.....but it does exactly what the ad says it will do. It really works!

Hopefully I never have the opportunity to try this product for actual use. Wound sealants and clotting aids are a great addition to any first aid kit. I now have this product plus a kaolin (type of clay) based clotting bandage that I purchased a few years ago available. I have suggested the purchase of this type of product to several family members.It's too late to purchase this when an accident occurs; order it and keep it on hand. I live over a half hour from the nearest hospital so this pack might go in the car while the kaolin version remains at home.

Although the Gauze pad is large and really good for emergency use, this pack is for only 1 - 3x24in pad, which seems a bit expensive in my opinion. It's great that it's vacuum sealed, which makes it easy to store in a first aid kit. As with any good quality gauze pad, it's use for any medical and/or emergency purposes can be a lifesaver (literally), but as I stated, medical use/emergency equipment shouldn't be so expensive, causing it to be out of reach for some of the population, just because of cost. If you can afford it, definitely get one (or even a few) to have on hand in your first aid kit or travel pack (bug out bag).

As a first responder, I wanted to review this, especially since recently training for mass casualty trauma event. This gauze marks all the boxes when it comes to quick deployment. As a "z" type stitched/folded bandage, it makes it easier and quicker to stuff and clot into a wound. The hemostatic clotting agent also is excellent in clotting blood during wound packing. Vacuum sealing allows this bandages to unofficially last for years past the expiration date when sitting in a pack/kit, and lastly makes it very durable through carrying/sitting.

Hopefully I'll never need this but it's an excellent addition to a first-aid kit. It's also better than regular gauze as this is designed to slow bleeding by becoming extremely sticky when in contact with blood. The adhesive-like action seals the wound tooGrab this. You never know. Also, this brand makes some really, really great products. I've tried their ice packs before and those were amazing. This gauze however, is more important to have in a household
