GROHE 40535 000 - soap & lotion dispensers

Nice and shiny, like I said!

After reading reviews about this soap dispenser, I was not confident that it would work as advertised. But we have been using it for 6 months now and it has proven to be a convenient addition to our kitchen sink. The pump gets stuck occasionally, but it seems that happens when too much force is used. The dispenser needs to be wiped regularly because soap tends to block the hole when dried.

Just what I wanted & good quality

Looks good but don’t be fooled. After a year the spring mechanism begins to fail and about three months later fails altogether - and that was after dismantling and cleaning!

I read some of the reviews to say that the grohe soap dispenser is wobbly but if adjusted properly will eliminate that I have brought cheaper soap dispensers but they don’t last the grohe 40535 feel and looks so much better in quality and style !!

We had a quooker soap dispenser for about 8 years, which eventually broke but a replacement was about £200. So bought this in March 2023 thinking that Grohe was a reputed company. We have persisted with it for 3 months. But for the last 11 weeks have resorted to using a fairly liquid bottle instead. The pump is just crap, it requires a lot of force just to pump one squirt of soap. This comes out at such a high force and in such a tiny volume that it squirts everywhere. The pump is then out of action for about 30mins as it takes this long to rise. Terrible engineering, absolutely crap product. Waste of money. Please don't fall into the same trap of thinking that Grohe would provide a quality product. Use a bottle or look elsewhere, we will now be going back to Quooker.

An die vorherigen schlechten Bewertungen, die behaupten, der Seifenspender würde nach der ersten Leerung kaputt gehen. Man braucht eigentlich nur die Flüssigseife direkt nachfüllen, dann läuft der Spender auch nach der zehnten Aktion ohne Probleme. Sollte halt nicht eintrocknen. Den Preis fand ich etwas hoch, aber das Produkt ist super. Passt auch gut zu unserer Spüle.

This item looks good (haven't used it yet), however says Made in China. Grohe don't have manufacturing plants in China as far as I know. Would the seller care to explain please?
