Acctim Europa Silent Sweeper Alarm Black 14113

I can't hear this clock when I sleep at all, absolutely perfect. I can hear a very faint whirring noise if I put the clock up next to my ear, but its silent as it says when set on the table. The numbers are very clear to read on the white background and the alarm is slightly too loud, but I didn't get it for the alarm anyway. Very sturdy built and looks high quality, makes a nice addition to my bedside table :) it doesn't take up extra room but is big enough to clearly see the time of standing across the room. The flow in the dark hands don't glow in the dark very well, but again, I'm not really fussed.

This clock is a lot larger than I thought - but all the dimensions are listed, I just didn't look!I purchased this to replace a Widdop silent alarm ( now unavailable) which met with an unfortunate accident. This Acctim clock is completely silent - perfect. The hands do glow in the dark, but are quite dim, so no annoying bright glow in the dark clock hands. The snooze function is 5 minutes and the alarm is quite loud.My only concern is that the on/off alarm switch is on the side of the clock and fairly flush with the casing. I think that an elderly person, or someone who has restricted movement in their hands would possibly find this troublesome. A switch on the back of the clock,would have been better in my opinion. I find it impossible to switch the alarm off with one hand, I have to take the clock off the bedside cabinet to switch off completely.Only a small irritation, so I would still rate this product 5 stars.This is an excellent value for money alarm - it does the job and in silence!!!

While the movement of the clock is mostly silent i have noticed that it does make a squeaking noise every 5 minuets or so. Normally you would not hear this noise but as this is my bedroom clock and it on a bed side table near to my head i can hear it when I'm awakeGenerally a good clock, clear and easy to use and set, you just have to get used to not having the reassurance of a ticking clock

I've been around since WW2 started, so am a bit traditional - but why not, you might say.This clock is the 21st Century version of the sort of alarm clock which was in bedrooms many years ago! But it is better. We can't hear it - excellent; we don't have to wind it up - brilliant, as we won't forget; we can pinch a snooze with no fear of not waking up again - lovely. The face is big enough to see - even to read the time without glasses for some of us. If we knock it off the bedside table, it doesn't disintegrate with the sound of a twanging spring - that's good because that could wake us up. When we do want to wake, the alarm is pleasant-sounding, but firm.I could go on, but you may by now think that I like this little gem. You're right!I didn't see a Royal Warrant on the box, but I think it's just the kind of update they could do with in Buckingham Palace to go with the latest Roberts radio.Happy sleeping,Ian

Good things first.The clock has no tick. The alarm is loud. The face is clear and easy to read. "Luminous" hands work well in the dark.It keeps good time and the batteries last well.So far, so froody,A neutral observation - it is bigger than I expected (11 cm wide and high.)But: there is a constant buzz or whirr whilst it does its time-keeping job. Not a problem for me as I am partially deaf, and can only hear it when it is close to my ear. But my wife can hear it, even though it is on my side of the bed. The clock is now banished to a far-away chest of drawers - less than convenient.My search for the perfect alarm continues...

A nice alarm clock. It is quiet which makes a change from my last alarm which ticked loudly. Has a slider to turn the alarm off or on plus a large sliver coloured bar in the top which when pressed lights the clock face up very well. It is quite large which might not suit a small bedside table but I manage to get my clock, my radio and torch on my small night table, but my poor old Kindle has to sleep on the floor. I think is is good value for money too.

You had one job to do, to produce a silent sweeper clock and you failed at it. It is very annoying to hear the ticker when it is silent everywhere at night. The rest, whatever good it has don’t matter.

No ticking, looks quite good, and so much easier to set the alarm. I really like the third hand which moves smoothly round rather than incrementally. Could be improved by some kind of battery backup but I've never seen this on alarm clocks recently. What happens if the batteries run out during the night? I would change the batteries periodically if relying on this clock for work. The batteries should last for months so not big problem. Keeps good time so far. I love this clock, It's perfect for what I need it for.

Sencillo y funcional, no falla

la sveglia io lo comprata perche e grande e anche efficiente e silenziosa. mi sarei aspettao di prendrla in altri colori ma non e possibile ma nonostante cio sono contentissimo lo stesso. io consiglio agli altri utenti futuri di aquistarla ugualmente amazon e sempre puntuale nelle mie consegne. saluti a tutti salvatore di vendra
