I bought 3 of these. One for each of my good friends. It has a very loud sound and a bright light that I believe would be useful in scaring off an attacker. It is small enough for your keychain, pocket or purse and is lightweight. It has a nice sleek design that is inconspicuous. The alarm is louder than most of these pocket alarms and will not go off accidently. It is very simple to use and I am sure they will get many years of use out of it but hopefully they won’t need it. It seems to be very durable and the function of it is simple. It is not sensitive to go off without thought. It does take a little bit of strength to pull the pin but not too much and easy to turn off by just pushing the pin back in all the way till it clicks and alarms stops. I am going to be buying more in the near future for my family.

I purchased this for my daughter but am not sure how helpful it would be in emergency. You have to use both hands to set it off and that may not always be an option.

It’s okay but I bought an air horn that is much louder! I use it when walking dogs to scare coyotes away!
