So happy with these sleeping bags!
This is a long review, but I really wanted to share our experiences.I did a lot of research to find the best sleeping bag for me to use on a 17-day Roadtrip in the pacific northwest, that would be warm enough, waterproof, wide enough for me to sleep comfortably in (I'm a big girl and I sleep with my knees up, )and that would compress into a small bag. I was led to this bag.I ordered it from Amazon, and the zipper did not work well because it appeared that it got crimped up. I contacted the company, and they were very responsive and concerned to make things right. I was able to return it and get another one right away. The company contacted me again to make sure that I was satisfied. We had ordered another brand of bag for my teenage daughter but she liked mine better, both for the size and comfort. We returned hers and bought 2 more of these for her and my husband. We camped for several days on our trip, and never stayed at the same campground for more than one night. The sleeping bags were perfect!Pros:Size! Wide and longCompresses easily to a reasonable size with a bagSoft in the inside, but easy to keep cleanWaterproof! It was so nice to wake up in the morning in a dry bag (other things were damp in the mornings)Hood at the top to keep pillows where they need to be (and you can pull out tight around your head, if needed.)Light, but warm enough for 3 seasonsHas flap to cover the top of the zipper so that it doesn't come unzipped while sleeping (and you can fold over the flap so that the velcro doesn't scratch you when you aren't using the flap.)Cons :Due to the hood, the bag only opens on the right side (from a laying down point of view.)I asked my daughter what her cons were, and she said it was difficult to put in the bag. Neither my husband nor I struggled with it, but I thought I should mention it.My husband felt that it was a bit too light to keep him warm (he gets very cold) so we just took an extra blanket for him.Overall, we were extremely pleased with these bags and the respect and concern of the company. We were so glad to have them and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a sleeping bag with these qualities.

Perfect Small Child Size--- Great Value!
I ordered this sleeping bag for my kids 5th grade field trip. I wanted something that was suitable for a child rather than a large adult size sleeping bags. I received it promptly and found it was incredibly well made. It's durable but soft, a light loft but warm. My kid who actually used the product said it was very comfortable and kept him warm (that night in the cabin it was about 49f). That said, I want to say to make sure to note the size is made for a young child lets say no older than 10-12 years if he runs on the small side. Otherwise, I'd go with an adult size. I believe this one is designed for someone no taller than 5 ft or so. Also , it comes in it's own bag, very nifty but it is kind of hard for a young child to properly roll it snug to fit in the bag to carry. Otherwise, and wonderful product and great value.

Great sleeping bag for backpacking in cold weather
Sleeping bag looked as advertised. Inner cover is black/red flannel, nice and soft. Sleeping bag was used for two night camping trip (backpacking) in rainy, cold, around freezing, weather (MI, upper peninsula). First night, the user was cold, probably due to already been cold before even going to sleep. Second night the user used handwarmers by their feet and was cozy all night. In the morning the outer shell was wet (condensation?) but the user was still dry and warm inside the sleeping bag. The sleeping bag is maybe a little big for backpacking, but it held up to the elements and we were happy to have chosen the variant with the extra filling for low temperature camping.

All I had hoped it would be!
I received this "All Season XL Hooded Sleeping Bag with Compression Sack" promptly from Tough Outdoors. One of the features that is important to me is that this is an oversized bag. Although I'm only 6 feet tall and 205 pounds, I feel constricted in "normal" sized rectangular bags and mummy bags end up binding me up like a...well...a mummy. Upon examining the bag, I found a quarter-dollar sized bit of the "cotton candy consistency" insulation protruding from a seam. The seam was intact though so I simply snipped off the protruding bit. No worries. I unrolled the bag on the living room floor, crawled in to check it out, and woke up refreshed an hour later when my wife returned from some errands. This is my only test of the bag so far. I bought it for an upcoming 6-day trip in July with anticipated nigh time temperatures to be no lower than 55°F. I'm confident it will be fine for this. The bag is plenty long enough for me and spacious enough that I was able to roll over onto my side without becoming entangled in a twisted bag. Beautiful! The semi-circular arch at the top provides a nice spot for a pillow and even has a drawstring to keep it in place. The small Velcro™ closed storage pocket is a nice feature for keeping small items handy. I was able to easily roll up the bag and stuff it into it's compression sack which seems durable and well made. I gently tugged each of the four straps sequentially around the bag two or three times each and the bag ended up being 9" in diameter by 15" long. My weight measurement showed it to be about 3.4 pounds. Although I haven't put it through it's paces outdoors yet, I can't see how I could get a better bag for the money. This appears to be a great value from a great merchant! Note that I was not compensated by anyone in any way for this review.Cheers,Bozko
