A high dose Vitamin D3 supplement – not suitable for vegetarians
Rather sadly Cheeky Nutrition has chosen to use Bovine Gelatine in the composition of the softgel shell of these Vitamin D3 capsules - making them unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans. The vitamin D3 itself - Cholecalciferol – is usually derived from Lanolin (the grease from sheep's wool) so is suitable for vegetarians, but not for vegans, so it is a shame that Cheeky Nutrition will loose a sizeable percentage of the potential market for this product as both vegans and vegetarians will have to avoid it. As a vegetarian myself I asked my wife – not a vegetarian- to try these capsules and report back; she found them easy to swallow without too much unpleasant aftertaste and no adverse reactions. Each capsule contains 1000iu of vitamin D3, which is 500% of the NRV for this nutrient, so may offer some health benefits during the winter months when there is less sunshine around. Like with all food supplements some users may benefit more than others and these vitamin D3 capsules are no exception – they shouldn't do you any harm but may not actually do you that much good either. Currently around eleven pounds from Amazon for a bottle of 180 these capsules are reasonable value and will give a six month supply at the recommended one-a-day dosage. A five star product for beefeaters – but everyone else should avoid; a star off for using Bovine Gelatine when many other brands don't.

Little bit of sunshine
The Cheeky Nutrition Vitamin D3 softgel supplements are very easy to swallow and considering you get 180 for 1 a day, the tub isn’t that big so it’s very easy to store. They are however about double the price of tablets you can get at the supermarket but then it just comes down to preference of how you take it. I already took Vitamin D before receiving these so I don’t really notice any changes or difference in my health or wellbeing but it is reassuring where diet and sunshine (or lack of) may not be enough. I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t buy these other than the same dose being cheaper elsewhere.

Hopefully helping me through a Dark Winter
Vitamin D3 is very important for strong bones and teeth through childhood and adulthood.As well it is now known it helps keep a good insulin balance and healthy blood pressure.Because of illness and disability it is hard for me to be outside in the winter and I now rely on taking supplements to boost my levels of Vit D. I have been taking this brand for a few weeks now. It is very hard to assess the effects of a supplement without taking it for much longer.What I can assess is that I have not noticed any ill effects.

Each year my wife who works nights has to visit the Dr's and get a prescription for Vitamin D with an initial boost supply too. This bottle of 6 months worth is cheaper than the prescriptions combined cost and lasts longer - great value for us.The pills have a tendancy to stick together inside the bottle because of the coating that makes them easy to swallow however a light shake seems to solve this issue and allow you to get one out again.

Vitamin D3 softgel Supplement
I have used other products in the Cheeky Nutrition range and always find them to be excellent quality and value. I find that Vitamin D is the most important supplement to take as I work in an artificially lit office for nine hours a day so don’t get near enough sunshine. Personally I feel my mood, energy levels and even immune system are boosted by taking a Vitamin D supplement. Easy to swallow softgel capsule. Excellent price for 6 months supply.

Very Good
This s a super product. I need D3 for a number of issues and due to a digestive issue, I find I cannot always gain from using tablets. I am convinced I do not digest them properly. This tablet appears to be one I can digest and so I get a really good dose of D3. Given the price of £10.97 at time of review and you get 6 months, it is very hard to beat this product. Highly Recommended.
