Much improved over the previous generation, love that it stands on its own
I've tried a few soft bottles because there's a lot of appeal for camping and traveling - lightweight and doesn't take a lot of space, and sometimes I don't want to deal a hydration bladder. They've all had issues - nalgene's would fall over due to the large wide mouth cap, platypus's were impossible to dry, and so on. Found an older model of the hydrapak flux that I loved for camping and traveling - super easy to pack, came in at least 32 oz, stood up on it's own, and was easier to clean and dry. Didn't super love the twist cap as it didn't release air so it would eventually flop over as you drank, and the mouthpiece was exposed. After the wife made me carry her double walled bottle during skiing, I bought her bottle, and I feel it's been improved in every way. It's wider so there's a more stable base, they added a flip cap, and now when you untwist, it lets air escape so the bottle will expand back to it's normal shape. They added clear plastic on the top so it's easier to see how much liquid is left, and the cap prevents leakage while still in the open twisted position. The loop is longer which makes it easier to roll up as in the pictures, but it's still kind of a pain, so I rarely do it. I'm undecided whether to just steal my wife's bottle, or buy a second one for myself. I still use hard bottles for sizes about 32 oz as I'm unsure of the sturdiness of the larger sizes, but this has become my go to whenever I want to take some water out of the house.

Used 2 at universal studios
These worked great at universal studios. They have free ice and water fill up. They do have a slight taste like your drinking out of a garden hose. But I also used it with a nuun tablet and the taste was gone. I also really liked the valve. It was easy to use and didn't spill. The fit in my cargo shorts, and I was able to carry in my belt. Definitely would recommend these.

Compact, durable, but...still has a noticeable plastic taste
I like that it's compact and folds up when it's empty - way easier to carry around than my normal stainless steel water bottle. I've used it for a couple months and the plastic taste is still present. I've sent their customer service an email and they replied promptly and gave me some suggestions that I tried and I still taste plastic. Customer service offered to replace it and I might end up taking them up on that offer, but I'd like to see if the plastic taste will disappear. But...maybe that's just what you get when you drink out of a plastic water bottle - I'll update in the future.

Compact and holds shape
This collapsing water bottle has changed the game. I use this when running and what is so great about it is that the bottle will hold its shape no matter how much water is in there. And if you want to make it smaller or collapse then all you have to do is twist the top and squeeze some of the air out and it will hold to the shape that you desire. Now you don’t have to lug around an empty container once you finish it. It folds up neatly and fits in a bag saving space.

Good design, lingering chemical smell and taste
The design is good, but even after multiple rinses, washes and soaks, there's a fairly strong chemical smell and taste.

1l Bottle that Compresses to Pocket Size.
I have a smaller Hydrapak 350ml Stow bottle that I carry on my longer runs. I decided I needed a larger size for traveling and opted for the 1l size. I chose the Flux model since it has the ability to stand upright. I've used it for a few days already and like how the drinking nozzle operates with a twist to open and lock the nozzle. No aftertaste in the water that is a common complaint in those cheaper brands. It's convenient to have bottles that can compress to a small size when empty.

Its great if you don't mind the sweet taste of plastic
We were on a trip to Alaska and I saw this bottle in an outdoor store calling out to me. Of course I quickly looked it up on amazon and did an impulse buy thinking it would be perfect for our next trip. Unfortunately, I should have used it before our return period with amazon. I really wanted to like this, its durable, it folds up small.. Drinking from it with the spout is hard to get used to since the bottle has no form, but doable. The issue is, when you put water in it... It morphs it to something unusable. The plastic taste was so bad after only a day in the bottle that my wife spit It out after taking a swig. We dumped the water and used a different bottle. Again, I wanted to like this but will prob just go back to our vacuum sealed bottles for our next trip. I am afraid this one will just collect dust for the rest of its life. I might try some of the lemon juice tricks I have read on other reviews but honestly I feel like I shouldn't have to do so much aftermarket effort to make a drinking bottle usable.

El agua sabe a goma, un año casi y no se ha quitado.

Love it. Used it with my Sawyer Squeeze water filter and works a treat. Pricey gear but worth it rather than the ones that come with the Sawyer.

This is my 2nd piece. Left my 1st bottle on a trolley and am glad I manage to buy this at a discounted price. It’s easy to use and can be folded when you’re finished with the liquids. Quite easy to clean with a brush. 1 litre works for me but there’re diff volume if you need more or less.
