StikBot Zanimation Studio

I got this for my 11 year old who loves making videos with it. I'm impressed how straight forward it is for kids to make fun animation films. You need to use a phone app that goes with it - check first if the app is compatible with your kid's phone as it won't work without it. There is a green screen and blue screen function, and the app has different backgrounds that you can use. The white figure sometimes looks a bit "transparent" with the green/blue screen as the colour reflects onto the figure. This didn't bother my kid. There is also a small box that's the same colour as the blue/green screen (blue on one side, green on the other) to raise the figure within the green screen (e.g. to sit on a sofa or something). It works with the figures that come with the set and with any small toy or item as long as it's not the same colour as the screen. It comes with a little tripod for holding the smartphone in place while making the animation. The green screen can be a bit fiddly to set up and isn't the most sturdy, but my 11 year old coped fine with that and really enjoyed making little animation videos.

Expensive for 2 bits of green cardboard and 2 stickbots ,you must have a mobile to use product ,take note of this.well packaged.

Turned up early and packaged well. A bit over priced for what it is in my opinion but this is the going rate and my son is really enjoying using the green screen

If I could give this negative stars, I would.Where to begin?Firstly, it didn't work with my phone, even though it is new(ish) or any of the android phones in our home (all less than a year old).So, we got a different app to try to use the very reflective green screen... absolute rubbish.Basically, it is a reflective green screen which reveals all of the reflections and access to an android app which does not work with android phones.At least it was cheap as it is all now in the bin.
