Extremely easy to install, and gives the side of the jeep a more complete look. It feels durable, and has a decent weight to it. The black matches perfectly with the rest of the trim. Sizing wise though, it could have been a tiny bit larger. It is not the exact size as the OEM one that comes from factory but it still has the same closing and “locking” capabilities.

My buddy advised me I should I locking gas cap but I know those are more prone to fail with their sealing so found this cap cover and it was a less than 5 minute install, unscrew the brake light screw, pop the old cover off and put the new one on and snaps right into place, love that the door and outer rim is metal so is durable. The seal that comes with the cover that goes around the gas tube fits perfectly and the lock works really well. No issues locking or unlocking.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Happy with this product. Was pretty easy to install with a little help from youtube. Quality seems good, just a little issue with shutting the door, sometimes I have to lift it up just slightly to get it to close all the way. Hopefully it holds up long term, but overall it looks great.

Looks great. Seems to be built well enough to last. The clips that hold it in place could be designed better to both hold it tighter to the body and make it easier to snap into place. I saw other reviews saying they had gaps between this and the body, so I put a small bead of black rtv silicone around the back side of it. I did a small bead because I didn't think it through well enough and didn't want it to squish out around the edges. Knowing what I know now, I should have had a much bigger bead so that it would squish out, and after it cures in about 24 hours it could be trimmed. After it was mounted, I ran a bead around it pushing it into the small gap. Once cured I'll trim any excess. One thing to note, is that the interior "cone" is much smaller on the original one without the door, which allows you to reach most of the clips reaching through the taillight opening to get it off. The interior on this is much larger, which makes it impossible to reach the clips from the backside if you every need or want to remove this one. You could probably use a dremel to cut the clips from the front side. You can see the the location of the top two clips from the front, and the bottom two locations are where the flat spots are. Cutting about 3/4" from the outer most edge should be enough to reach the clips and far enough to miss the body. Just know that removing this one will take much more effort than removing the stock "cone" without the door, but can likely be done with a dremel with a cutting wheel.

Very easy install and looks great.

Quality product, with very hard plastic and aluminum on the lid, with a magnetism that attaches when approaching the lock. Close it well. Much better than the gas cap that comes from the factory. The only detail is that it took me a while to be able to remove the old cover because it is very hard, but easy to install.

Thought it was great. Easy to install. Looked great. Had it for two months and the door broke. Now it doesn't stay closed.

Looks good ! I had to order a new one as I accidentally fell against the lid while i was filling up . The door snapped off and I was unable to fix it . I reordered it as it does look good on my Jeep and is sturdy , I will just have to be careful not to fall against it again lol.

Although this is a great product, it wasn’t that easy to install. The only disappointment is when you’re fuelling up sometimes the gas cap gets in the way, but once you get the hang of it and know the way it should sit then there’s no problem.. I have purchased my Jeep without the door so was happy this was available through Amazon.. of course I was getting a package overnight. Makes shopping at Amazon. Great..

Does not fit tight so it can move around like a clock. Mine came with paint chip and a crack in the casing.
