You get what you pay for
The cheapest plastic. The only way to hang them on the wall is TWO holes for each letter…..so, they are secure once mounted. However, the genius designers put the on/off switch ON THE BACK so if you want to turn them on or off, you have to remove them from the wall to do it. So. Stupid.

Doesn't look like the picture
It is definitely plastic and looks it, the rust is paper and looks like it. Had no issues with returning and receiving my credit back.
