Good
Have use a few time. It works good. I just wished that a read yards instead of feet but that's not a problem I can divide. I would buy again.

Seems to solve our line twist problems!
Before buying this product, we often encountered line twists and tangles, especially when re-spooling our spinning reels, and this was the reason we were looking to purchase a line spooler. The first reels we re-spooled with this product seem to be free of twists and tangles. We also appreciated that once the line spooler was set up on the rod, re-spooling the line was a single person job. The built-in line counter was handy in knowing how much goes on the reel, and can also be used to keep track of how much is left on the spool for future use. The line spooler is mostly made of plastic, but it still feels durable. We found the spool attachment screw to be a bit fiddly, and found that one brand of line did not work as smoothly because that fishing line brand had an additional notch in the center hole; it still worked, just needed some extra attention. The instruction sheet is well illustrated and has two sides, one set of instructions for casting reels and one for spinning reels. The instructions are fairly easy to follow, but there are numerous steps involved. Watching a video instruction would perhaps be more helpful for some folks. Overall, we are happy to have it and look forward to easier re-spooling jobs in the future.

I was skeptical but it really does work
I've never liked the "stick a rod through the spool" method for spinning reels. No matter how I try I simply can't get the line on without twist. I always took my reels to a sporting goods store to have them filled by an employee on an electric line winder. Last time I went I got a kid who didn't know how to use the machine and the line went on crooked! Instead of the edges being straight they were slanted to one side. Wind knot city. I ended up having to strip off and throw away $20 worth of braid.I was looking around for a home version of an electric line winder, but the only ones out there are hundreds of dollars. So for around thirty bucks I figured I'd give this thing a shot. It's a bit fiddly to set up and you need to keep track of all the parts but once you've done it a few times it's really easy. After about the third reel it took me longer to tie the knot joining the backing to the braid than it did to set it all up and get the line on. Not sure how accurate the line counter is, but I can live with that.

It is easy to use
It is easy to use if you are putting line by yourself

Works with everything!
I love the Kalibrate so much. It works for almost all my rods and even fits a 1000 yd spool of 50lb line almost perfectly! The scissors that came with it are also my favorite tool that I use for everything and I even bought another Kalibrate just for the scissors! Ever since I’ve bought it, I haven’t spooled a rod without it.

Works-ish, and only with Kast King line unless you jerry rig the device
I am not even a little impressed with this thing. I just used it to spool 4 Penn Battle 3 4000 reels with 17lb test Kast King Flourokote. That barely worked and was slower and far more complicated than it should have been. The strap system included is barely functional and makes the entire process a PITA and 10x slower than it should be. I then tried to load 30lb Berkley Trilene Mono onto a Penn Battle 3 8000 reel and that was unworkable. The rod mechanism for this line spooler system is too large to fit into the Berkley spool without taking sandpaper or a file to it to make it smaller...which shouldn't be necessary unless I missed a description that says it only works with Kast King line. If so, that is my fault. I just tried to return it 6 weeks after purchasing as I just got to use it last week and a return is no longer an option. I would rather spend that $30 on pencils as they are a far more effective way to get the line onto your reels. I will say, I loved the line reader function. It was nice to know exactly how much line I had loaded so that I could split my spools evenly.

It works great.
It feels like it's made cheap. I don't believe it will hold up very well if dropped. That being said it works great. I use this on my saltwater rigs. It is so much easier then finding someone to hold the spool. And there is never a pencil around when you need it. I really like the line counter too. It's easy to use but you got to read the instructions.

Protective coating on clamp
Awesome little gadget! I just wish there was some rubber or protective coating on the clamp that goes on the rod, plastic on carbon fiber feels kinda rough! Just a thought!

Great easy way to spool up your fishing reels!
Fantastic little machine to spool up your fishing reels, SUPER easy to use and gives a line footage of how much you put on. Line goes on kink free! A little bit heavy, but a SUPER Spooler!!

Great for spooling line but the line counter only worked once
Great for spooling line but the line counter only worked once out of 6 times. I should have bought a separate spooler and line counter but this was supposed to do both. Very disappointed.
