Overall happy despite annoying power on sound
The build quality of the speaker is actually quite good, solid unit with a nice amount of weight. Setup and connecting the speaker was very easy and done in under a minute. The sound surprised me OK it's not going to be audiophile sound at this price but good bass, reasonable highs but overall muddy mids. But for £40 it's as expected. However the volume goes rather high and manages to control the sound well enough..My biggest issue and where the deduction of stars comes from most.. when turning the unit on.. there is an obnoxiously loud intro startup noise followed by a dodgy power on intro.. this is what shows the price of the unit.. it's stupidly loud for a simple power on function and does the same when shutting off the unit..
