This aquarium is an excellent design, which maximizes the viewing area with it’s unique dimensions. The filter system is easy to assemble, and is remarkably quiet. The only sound is that of a tiny waterfall. The filter is a biological sponge, which is impregnated with activated carbon. We chose the direct filtration option, bypassing the skimming feature. The LED lighting system was another pleasant surprise, with many options, and is incredibly bright. This is by far the best illuminated and most attractive aquarium system we have ever owned. Just remember to prime the filter pump by adding water to it until the bubbling stops. An absolutely incredible value for the money. Very highly recommended!

Great little starter tank. Needed a home for a new betta fish that was given to my daughter as a gift in a little fish bowl. I believe it came from a party as a centerpiece. Felt a need to let him thrive because I felt guilty as a 8-10 yr old child, I would always buy bettas and they would always die on me. Now that I’m older, did the time for some research then more research and then more research on how to take care of them and how to cycle a tank. I had know idea, I was about to spend more than just a tank lol. Live plants, substrates, barriers, food, lights and countless chemical treatments, cleaners and tools. The tank is very cute and perfect size for where I planned to put it. I have very little space in my home. It is clear as glass can be but downside was it was narrow for putting things in the tank. It came with a light that was bleh.. did not sit flush because of the filter and felt like it blocked too much of the tank to get in there. Dealt with it, till I researched how to get live plants to thrive with a good full spectrum light and upgraded to one and can use a smart plug to work with google home. The filter that came with it, is a really good size for this tank. I read complaints that it was noisy and did notice it the first few days. After tinkering and saw that it came from the skimmer, I just raised the water level a lot higher about an inch to inch and a half to rim. It is super quiet. I can’t even tell that it’s on. Also with the higher level, you can slow the flow rate much more for my betta Red. Now Red seems happy and has a little more room to swim and explore. This may be a new hobby for me now. Just need more space for bigger tanks.

Beautiful tank, but the filer is awful. Stops working, is loud. Very disappointed.

Exceeded expectations. Tank is solid. Light is nice. Filter sponge a little too porous to be effective.

Update #2- I've had this tank for 6 months now, and I'm thrilled with it. I did a few modifications. I completely removed the skimmer part. I also got another light for it because the one that came with it stopped working. But the pump is still almost silent after 6 months, and it is a lovely little aquarium. I highly recommend it. Definitely well worth the price! I bought this in a pinch because my other tank started leaking and was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit worried after reading reviews talking about the filter being very loud. The filter is super quiet (see video) IF you do a little hack. Somehow the skimmer top fell off and got lost when I was putting it together. I improvised by plugging the top with a silicone ear bud sizing thing (to make earbuds fit different size ear holes). If the skimmer close to the surface where it draws in both air and water, the pump is very loud. So make sure the skimmer is submerged well below the surface, or maybe completely plug it. You can see my skimmer hack in the photo. I only deducted a star because I don't think the skimmer is a good design. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. EDIT- After a week, I have a few more notes to add. They are all things that are cons, but there are work-arounds. The biggest con is that if you use the automatic timer setting for the light, the controller will continuously flash blue light when the light is off and it is very bright. I have gone to bed multiple times and had to get out of bed after turning off the light to get up and turn the controller power off, which makes it have a steady blue light (which is still a bit annoying and a waste of electricity). I'm going to get some electrical tape and tape over it to hopefully block the light. The filter needs a few other tweaks. The intake tube sections come apart easily and have fallen off, which thankfully didn't suck up my Betta and kill him. A drop of super glue at the joints fixed that. Also, I forgot to mention that the filter only comes with a foam pad. I got rid of that and put a pouch of Fluval Biomax media in instead. This, in addition to 1/4 teaspoon of Quick Start beneficial bacteria/ day, eliminated the nitrite that was showing up on the tests within a couple of days.

I'm not a beginner, so I can tell you this is a really nice little aquarium, I bought it for a little female betta who is having some problems. The tank is perfect for her! Not loud, nice flow, that is adjustable, very good looking! The light is really easy to use. It fits on top with filter but its tight. Only thing, it doesn't have a lid. So don't have any fish that like to jump. I put a little cloth cover over the top just in case. I also had to buy a heater separately . But so far I am pleased with this purchase.

The tank itself is not bad, the light is a little wobbly but the worst part is the filter. No way any fish can live with that level of noise and vibration. You can see and feel the whole tank vibrate. Absolutely useless. Update!!! Tank leaks after less than a month. Very devastating to have to move our betta fish and not to mention a sopping wet dresser where the tank was sitting. Total piece of crap do not waste your money like i did.

What you need to know about this tank is: 1. The width(depth) is pretty narrow. Not great for bigger fish. But looks great from the front. 2. The filter sucks because it is too small, unable to hold enough beneficial bacteria, better replace with sponge filter + pump, you can get one on Amazon for couple dollars. 3. The light is GREAT. Very bright. The tank is very great too, very clear and looks good on table. I bought 4 sets of this tank for my smaller fish/fry

Ça fait 8 mois que j’ai acheté cet aquarium et je l’adore depuis le debut. L’important pour moi c’était qu’il soit silencieux puisqu’il est dans ma chambre et je ne suis pas déçue. Le verre est tres clair transparent donc agréable à admirer mon beta dedans et il est facile d’entretien. Par contre, il vien avec un filtre assez cheap qui brise facilement, mais pour la qualité générale, ça vaux entièrement le prix.

Small but a little jewel. Clean look with a fantastic light and good filter. I got 4 little guppies and it’s perfect for that.

I don’t buy this fish tank under any circumstances. As loud it’s not put together well and if you want little creatures, they walk out of the tank. . After a week I got so frustrated that I threw the whole thing out and will never buy a product like this again

I was looking for a modern and well made tank for my daughter‘s Betta fish and this is perfect. It’s very thin. It’s only about the width of a regular cell phone, but it looks really good. The heater is not noisy at all, despite some reviews when the water evaporates yes the filter will get noisy, but a simple fix is to just keep some treated water And simply top up by about an inch or so and the noise from the heater goes away and it’s completely silent, I also took a placemat and cut it to size and stuck it with double-sided tape to the back of the tank that also looks really nice and it’s a good idea to hide any wires from heater or filter
