I liked the compact design but it wasn’t wide enough to accommodate my homemade sourdough bread. I tried to turn my loaf sideways but the width is not adjustable so I was unable to use it that way either. I wanted to return it but Amazon gave me a refund without the option to ship back so now I have to figure out what to do with it.

I bought this to use for my small cottage food business I run. Overall it is good quality, getting even slices. I make sandwich loaves and use this weekly to slice them. I personally don’t use the knife provided, as I prefer the longer one I own. There was a learning curve to using this, as my sandwich loaves are taller than the slots. That’s the only design problem, is the height of the slots (in relation to any sandwich bread I make, they are shorter). Once I got the hang of it however, it is nice and reliable to use for my business.

This bamboo bread slicer is a great tool for consistent slices, and we use it almost daily with no issues. It has three different bread thicknesses. Though we like to mix and match for different thicknesses for different meals. The design is well thought out, and the built-in measurement guides make it easy to get even cuts with a bread knife. I would recommend buying a nicer bread knife. But the one that comes with works.However, the shipping was awful—mine arrived badly broken. I was planning to return it, but Amazon refunded me and let me keep it, so I decided to fix it up myself. Once patched up, it has worked perfectly.If it arrives in good condition, it’s a fantastic slicer for homemade bread. But based on my experience, be prepared to inspect it carefully upon arrival.
