I had a Furiden straightener that I absolutely loved but it finally died after several years of use, so I bought this one as a replacement. It’s just as good as my old one. As someone with super curly & thick hair I use this straightener for my bangs and to touch up little pieces. Unfortunately about 6 months into using it, one of the heating plates stopped working. I reached out to customer service and their response was incredibly fast and generous. Having had poor experiences with other companies in the past who couldn’t care less, it was super refreshing to email a team that backs their product and cares about their customers.

This flat iron is incredible, I love it, but I might have low standards. The flat iron I currently share (NOT this furiden one) has giant cracks in one of the plates from falling. This leads to us angling our hair and avoiding the spot as best we can, but its obviously caused damage. Its an old, mall-kiosk flat iron, very nice. Basic first: item arrived on time, clearly new, never used. Box is beautiful, comes with 2 clips, one glove, one little velvety bag, and a cheap rat tail. This new Furiden iron has amazed me. First of all ots beautiful and sleek looking. It has a lock, which I like. It has floating plates which I love, I dont think the description says it directly so I was worried because I only wanted it with the moving plates. Also, the thing heats up quick. Anecdotal evidence: I rotated the dial to turn this bad boy up to 355° when I was ready to try it out. After a second or two, I decided I wanted to check out the floating plates one last time (not even joking). I turned it off after the 2 seconds, went to poke at the plates, and immediately burned the mess out of myself. Maybe im dumb, Or maybe this thing heats up super fast. Maybe both. Anyways the thing heats up quick. Only downside is that i would ask for smaller intervals in the temperatures. The dial jumps up by about 40° each turn. Its not a big deal, im just picky. Flat iron moves through hair easy, not one snag ! My old one snagged a lot, this guy doesnt even get caught on the scraggly split ends I refuse to trim off. Also its beautiful. I thought it would be obnoxiously round, and too big to maneauver, with the dial constantly rolling. But its not, its awesome. The dial clicks into place. Cord is a fine length. No complaints. My hair is 3a/3b curly. Straightened hair very nicely very shiny. No snags. 2 passes max at 410. Also curled hair very well. Not really sure what the bad reviews are about, they really worried me, but with the easy return I figured I could just do that if it was that bad. But its not, I love it. Bottom line: This iron is pricey, but if youre still using your five year old, mall-kiosk, cracked flat iron, its time to switch and this is the one. I did NOT receive any discount or offer for this. I bought it with my own pennies 😂 Will update with pics

Well made and will last years. We originally bought this virtually identical unit in 2020 and has been used daily since that purchase. This has been very important to have according to my significant other who requested an immediate replacement when the original unit declined to operate reliably. This unit has adjustable heat settings, important to not damage hair.
