Delivery was very early! Got next day delivery despite only paying for free delivery which was expected between 3-5 days. Partner easily managed to take out our old motor on our electric fire which had stopped working, easily replaced with this one, have had it running now for 3 days and it's fantastic, very quiet. Only downside is that it is a clockwise and anti clockwise rotation motor, meaning sometimes when turning it on the flames go downwards rather than up, but just switching the switch once or twice more fixes it so no bother at all. Very happy.

Buying again for my flame effect fire, as the gearbox on the earlier replacement (2019) sounds like a robot chewing bolts for lunch. I've found they never run as quiet as you'd like (my home is very quiet, so I pick up on such things). In the past I have tried mounting the motor on rubber bushes, drilling a tiny hole and injecting light watch oil and ensuring the connected shaft is properly aligned. Given that the motor itself (depending on the gearing, I'm guessing 20:1) has spun, I estimate, some 525.6 million revolutions, given my usage, then it is a pretty fair bit of kit.

Good quality little motor and very quiet I used this motor for mirror ball and it does the job perfectly better than the original one, very happy

The media could not be loaded.  My flames in my electric fire are moving again!! I ordered this motor as the old one died and it did just the job, fit perfect and works perfectly, very pleased with it

Perfect replacement for the one in my fireplace that had seized up. Have given it 3 stars because after a few days it became noisy.

I was putting together some DIY decorations for Halloween and used this motor to turn a pole that had three empty plastic bottles attached, all in all probalby less than 1kg of weight, add to that a tarpaulin cover which the bottles would move as they rotated under it and thats your lot. Iniitally this worked fine however I noticed that often it would appear to 'stop' rotating, which wasn't true, on closer inspection it was turning slightly in either direction like it was jammed or stuck. The CW/CCW mechanism I guess relies on the resistance to change when it reaches the limit, I wasn't fussed if occassionally it changed direction but the constant back and forth was no good for my needs. In the end I removed and went for a single direction worm gear driven motor with a lot more torque. Not sure what the insides of this look like but they appear to be made of butter.

Great motor for our Dimplex flame effect fire. It was installed a week ago now. No problems to date. Had to dampen the motor against metal noise but guess it needed a rubber gasket. I used mouldable glue which did the trick.
