Excellent primer for anyone with interest in graphic design
This book is aimed at students, practitioners and anyone with an interest in graphic design. There are easy to follow chapters, a useful lexicon, abundant historical background and a host of brilliant examples. I particularly found interesting the entries on Typeface Psychology, Propaganda and the whole section on Practice, including Graphic Wit. There's also a comprehensive list of references. All in all, a real 'bible for those of us who love a good poster, book cover or album cover. I learnt a lot.
