TRG Suede Dye For Nubuck and Suede Shoes Boots Bags (#118 Black)

This product is amazing on canvas shoes. I brought a faded pair of Vans back to life! The AI question search on the Amazon product page suggested I might want to dilute the product 50/50 with water when applying to canvas. The recommendation seemed reasonable, so I gave it a try. I used a thin art paintbrush that was about a quarter inch wide to apply the product, which was key so I didn’t get die on some areas of the shoes. The product went on easily and died and died very evenly, even though I made little effort to apply it evenly. The product dried quickly, which made it easy to hold the shoe in one hand and apply the product with a brush with the other hand while sitting down. I will admit that it took a while using a small brush, but the results were well worth it!

This has always been one of my all time favorite purses. Coach discontinued it years ago. The only signs of wear were the straps; the silver was really starting to turn and literally come off of the handles & the shoulder strap. I had tried shoe polish but could never match it (was originally a pewter color). I finally ordered this dye which was the color I would have preferred Coach used to begin with and I couldn’t be happier. There are some reviews talking about it being too thin. Either they didn’t read the instructions or they don’t know what they’re talking about...it’s thin because it’s dye, not paint or polish. I did have to apply 3 coats and I let each one dry before applying the next. After 5 hours I buffed and it looks great! I can carry it for NYE again!!!

As shown in the photo, I ordered 143, the mauve color. What I received I would describe as light pink. Decided to go ahead and try it on a pair of Birkenstock sandals that had faded. There was good coverage by the pink and I'm happy with the dye overall. I do have metal buckles that accepted the dye but it's chipping off a bit already. But at least the sandals are all the same color and I can wear them again. A little tedious applying on shoes but I would think a larger surface would be easier.

First, the shipping weight of the total package is listed at 3.2 ounces and the liquid weight is conveniently not depicted, thus I was surprised to pay $16 for what, if I recall correctly, was like .25 ounces. Its basically a sample size. I used Feibings in the past and paid $18 for a quart! Here, because the quantity was so small, I ended up having to purchase 5 more bottles to finish the job so my chairs would all be the same color. Now, two weeks later, the dye, which looks like paint, is chipping, like paint. I feel totally ripped off. Go with Feibings. You can get quantity for a tenth of the price and it works, like dye, not paint.

maybe i used it wrong, but it didn’t seem to take to the leather i used it on! the color was pretty, it shipped fast and the price seemed reasonable but it is a VERY small amount.

This stuff is pure magic! I have a red dress that I've been looking for red heels to match. I've tried many different heels and none were the right shade of the dress. I decided to dye a pair of gold glitter heels I had to match it. I am beyond pleased and impressed with the result. I went into this with the expectation of me ruining these heels. I didn't know how well the shoes would take with them being glitter. They took super well. Product is simple to use, application went very smooth. Dries quickly. Very little wait time between coats. I did three coats to achieve this deepness of red. Dries extremely clean, each coat dried smooth and even. I used the 156 - Morello Cherry. I attached pictures of inside, with and without flash, and outside to capture inside lighting and natural lighting to compare the shade of red of the dress to the shoes. Each type of lighting the shoes shade stayed consistent and true. I also attached a before and after close up of the heels, and a comparison of the dye to the dress. Extremely happy! Super highly recommend and will absolutely be purchasing this product again for any other shoe dye needs!

I used this to redye my faded black leather purse. It was very easy to apply and made it look like new again. Dried quickly and was long lasting. Also used it on faded shoes and they look great again. Best dye I’ve ever used. The bottle is small but worth the money to salvage your good leather.

I used this to maintain my golf shoes. The usual white treatments are really not suitable for leather and do more harm than good. However, this product has kept my shoes looking really good without the hard build up of material. Highly recommended.
