Beans with Personality - Great Value and Great Taste
Every morning, I make coffee using a cafetière and freshly ground beans. Finding a consistent bean that delivers the perfect coffee has been a challenge, especially as I was looking to replace my previous supermarket brand. This product caught my eye with its 1kg bag—significantly larger than anything available locally—making it ideal for reducing frequent reorders. The stay-fresh packaging seemed promising, though it lacks an easy reseal feature. The beans themselves exceeded my expectations. Their high Arabica content creates a strong, full-bodied flavor without crossing into bitterness, making them perfect for building a robust base for lattes and other milk-based coffees. I’ve used these beans in espresso quantities to create a delicious latte that rivals café-quality coffee. There are several standout strengths to this product. The generous bag size and consistent roasting across batches—this is my second order—ensure quality with every cup. The eco-conscious Rainforest Alliance Certification is an added bonus for sustainability-minded consumers. However, the non-resealable bag poses a slight drawback, as it might affect the long-term freshness of the beans. For anyone who enjoys the flavour profile of Café Nero beans, these are a comparable and cost-effective option. They deliver similar depth and quality while offering the convenience of brewing at home. This product is a fantastic choice for those who love strong coffee beans, especially for cappuccinos and lattes. With only minor packaging improvements needed, it’s a great blend of flavour, consistency, and value.

Surprised by quality
This coffee was surprisingly nice, especially at this price point, we freshly grind beans for each coffee, so don’t know how it keeps. It’s quite a strong flavour but we always put (non-dairy) milk into our coffees, so it suits us just fine. Highly recommend as a cheap and cheerful option, the packaging is beautiful so it’d look great even on display or as a gift.

Strong taste
I bought so many tipes of coffee, but this one is my favourite now. It has a strong taste and can be used either for expresso, cappucino or latte, you will definetly have a good cup of coffee every day. I recommend it and I will definetly buy it again. Great value for money.

The best coffee beans for me!
I drink a lot of coffee so I was looking for coffee beans which is affordable but decent and this is exactly what I was looking for! I’m not a big fan of acidic coffee, I like basic coffee flavour, strong, bitter and has depth in flavour. This tastes exactly it and good with making hot coffee and cold brew. The package is also really cute which is a plus as I store it in an open shelf. I highly recommend!

Fluctuating availability and price
This was my regular coffee, I had it on subscribe and save, the family all like it for its strength without being harsh. There have been a few versions, varying in %age of arabica and robusta beans, usually priced between £12 and £15, and all pretty good, but no comparison with the really good beans like those produced by Union Coffee. Unfortunately, it has suffered from being in low stock, occasionally, which often coincides with significant price rises. Currently, at £25 per kilo, it's simply not worth the money, hence the 3 stars. Is an algorithm setting the price? No idea, but if it gets back to its regular price then I'll put it back in subscribe and save - but I won't put up with any more frequent nonsense price rises, I'll take my custom elsewhere.

Great coffee, my favorite
This is my favorite coffee. It's not always in stock but it's really very, very good. Smells great, tastes great, full bodied, always fresh and nothing about it says cheap. Good quality.

Excellent 1863 replacement
We’d been very happily drinking Pelican Rouge 1863 blend for the last 3+ years from a delonghi specialista machine so were worried when that went off sale. We tried the 100% aribica ‘Continue’ but that was disappointing and lacked flavour. This ‘Dynamique’ however is at least as good as we remember 1863 and therefore very good for the money. We tried a lot of options at the start and 1863 was our favourite regardless of cost
