Initially ordered the Embrwave product to control night sweats. It didn't get cold enough for me, tried for two weeks, learned to use the app, etc. Replaced it with this product which I wear to bed. No app to bother with, just one button push delivers ice cold to my wrist and shuts down a hot flash within a minute. Runs five minutes then turns off automatically. If it feels too cold, one more button push reduces the intensity. While its running, you have to keep it positioned so the hot air can flow out, but I don't mind since it works so quickly. I don't fall back to sleep until it turns off. I wish I had know this product was around years ago, it gives me a feeling of power over the 15+ daily hot flashes and night sweats.

I love that it was $100 less expensive than Embr Wave, and the cooling plate looked larger. I like the on and off ease of velcro, but it is big and noisy! The cooling fan us very loud, and people ask me what it is all the time, which is embarrassing. This definitely helps, though. Update: You can press the button about 10 times before having to recharge, which takes a very long time. This is a problem for me, because I live in Las Vegas, NV, and it's already 100 degrees and not yet summer. One charge lasts me about 3 hours

This is the second Kulkuf I have purchased because it has been so incredibly helpful in reducing the severity of my hot flashes. I have prostate cancer and the medications I take cause me to having no testosterone. As a result, very much like postmenopausal women who have a very low estrogen levels in their blood that can cause vasomotor symptoms known as hot flashes, I suffer from up to 20 severe hot flashes daily. These hot flashes are life altering because they cause my body to feel like it is on fire and as a result I begin to profusely sweat to the point of having my undershirt drenched in sweat. I have learned that if I can catch the initiation of feeling the onset of a hot flash and immediately turn on the Kulkuf this often results in a marked diminishment in the hot flash taking it from what would inevitably have been a severe hot flash to a mild hot flash. Sometimes if I catch it early enough the hot flash is stopped in its tracks and I only feel the coolness on my wrist from the device. It is like lighting a match which can be easily blown out. However if you throw the lighted match into a tank of gasoline there is no stopping the inferno. The same is true with my hot flashes. As soon as I begin feeling the sensation of having a hot flash I turn on the Kulkuf. The temperature of the porcelain plate on my inner wrist decreases almost immediately to 47°F thereby sending a signal to my brain that I am not hot but cool. As a result I have the hot flash successfully controlled. I have 2 Kulkufs so that when the battery runs out I can have it charging while having the other one on my wrist ready for the next hot flash. I hope that this device can be as helpful to you as it has been for me. Based on previous reviews and my own experience I believe that this device can be beneficial to all men and women suffering from hot flashes.

Device was not broken, but did not reduce the number, duration, or severity of hot flashes.Now I have the same hot flash symptoms and a cold wrist. $236 wasted.(I'm an advanced prostate cancer patient, being treated with testosterone deprivation therapy)

I decided to wait a while before writing a review or giving a score until after I saw how the kulkuf worked for me. For the first few weeks it worked great and then about 6 weeks into using it, it stopped working.so of course, I was going to give a bad review. Instead I contacted Amazon who put me in touch with the manufacturer. The manufacturer was quick to respond to my concern and sent out a new kulkuf. The service I got from the manufacturer made all the difference in the world. I would buy this product again but I hope it lasts long enough that I won’t have to. This kulkuf is awesome, I love it, it stops my hot flashes and helps me sleep at night. I recommend this product because of the Kufic but also because of the service I received when my original one broke. Thank you.

The wrist band automatically turns off after 5 minutes, which is helpful if you are awake. The description says helps with sleep, but you cannot wear it to bed, because you cannot have anything near the fan (like bedding, or your hair) AND it turns off after 5 minutes. You will need to be awake to turn it back on.

I received my device and it was awesome!! However, I had a few questions about the device and so reached out to the company. To my surprise I actually was able to speak with the owner and created himself!!! That was awesome. He taught me so much about this device and I saw how it's actually BETTER THAN THE EMBR WAVE 2 because it's stronger. So for those of us who want and need something more intense than the subtle 'waves' of comfort Embr Wave 2 offers we now have a choice. This baby here is POWERFUL folks. It's far more powerful than Embr Wave. So get this device if the following applies to you:1. You have terrible hot flashes/heat sensations and need relief. BTW this has nothing to do with menopause or cancer treatment only folks. Some of us just plain ole get HOT sometimes. Think global warming and records breaking temps outside okay??!!2. You want stellar customer service-not just an automated system telling you to go back and answer the same questions when you have a question about your product.3. You want a well-built and COMFORTABLE device. I found Ember Wave to be stylish-but not really comfortable like this product is.4. You want something SIMPLE WITHOUT AN APP!!! for goodness sake why does everything need an app these days?!! Well this doesnt!! It works well. I can’t use the first level as it’s too cold so I press the button again to reach the second level of cooling. It does on occasion cool too much at once so I have to watch for that to turn it off. Other than that I love it!
