Lucky Atom
Spent a very rainy weekend watching the entire set off and on over a 24 her period. I must say that it was very entertaining to say the least. Great animation, and some excellent stories. 3 points to ponder: 1) I am almost sure that Batman was in outer space without any breathing apparatus in one episode. 2) Why is a six-gun shooting cowboy called The Vigilante, a Justice League member, and 3) The Best ever scene is when The Atom tells Wonder Women not to squish him in her hand as she flys into battle, so she puts him down in her cleavage ! Yes it was a long rainy weekend. Good box set.

Totally worth it
The dvds are in great condition and brand new and they play great. One thing to note is this bundle includes both the original justice league show and justice league unlimited in their entirety. I was only aware of the first show being on them but yep it has them all. One of the greatest shows ever it feels great to own them. Probably would be great for kids.

The Best Series of All Time
I love this series so much. It was my childhood. To quote Comic Books 101 by Scott Tipton and Chris Ryall, “In 2001, the Warner Animation production team behind the outstanding Batman and Superman animated series tackled the JLA with Justice League airing on Cartoon Network. Justice League featured a classic lineup of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, the Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl, the best and most faithful translation of DC’s characters to date. Though the first season was slightly uneven - the production team had to figure out how to utilize so many protagonists and how to best use Superman in a team dynamic so he didn’t appear too weak - the second season was rock solid, culminating in “Starcrossed,” a smashing three episode finale that pitted the Justice League against a full-on alien invasion force, with devastating results for both the planet and the League. Highly recommended.Just when it seemed the good times were over, the series was back, slightly retooled as Justice League Unlimited (2004), which assembled nearly every DC superhero under the Justice League banner. Despite the new cast of dozens, the series managed to tell season-long, suspenseful stories without neglecting the core characters that had made the series popular in the first place. JLU’s two seasons both had a central arc. The first, an ambitious political thriller that dealt with the notions of power and responsibility, and the second a back-to-basics supervillain brawl that elicited fond memories of the old Legion of Doom days. Even better than the first JL series.”

Justice League RULES!!!!
First of all, let me just say that the Justice League animated series is AWESOME!!!! Lots of action, mixed in with some humor and just a touch of romance (for good measure) makes for a dynamic cartoon. Now on to the product itself. It is 15 DVDs that comes in 2 volumes, which are in plastic containers that are housed in a metal container and then wrapped in plastic (if it's brand new, like mine was). The containers are sturdy and the DVDs are not hard to take out. There are just a couple minor things that I didn't like about the product overall (and these could be considered as personal gripes). First, after Season 1 of Justice League (which is in fullscreen format), the series is represented in widescreen. I hate widescreen. I don't have a widescreen TV and those black bars annoy me. Second, several of the episodes are out of viewing order. It's not so bad except for in Season 1 of Justice League Unlimited, where the episodes "Hunter's Moon" and "Question Authority" are out of order. At the end of "Question Authority", Captain Atom and Superman are about to throw down, which leads directly into the episode "Flashpoint." But between the two episodes is "Hunter's Moon", which is supposed to be before "Question Authority." The booklet that comes with the volume has the episodes listed in the right order, but when you go to play them, you see that they are out of order. And last but not least, if you've ever read any of the comics that contain characters in Justice League and then watched the show, you'd see that the cartoon League is nowhere near as powerful as the comics version. Superman and Wonder Woman get hurt easier and more often, Green Lantern is not very creative with his ring, Flash doesn't run nearly as fast (he has trouble keeping up with cars, for crying out loud!), and all Batman does most of the time is jump around and throw an assortment of batarangs. Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl are the only ones who seem to live up to their comic versions. But other'n all that, a great series overall. I highly recommend it!
