Great for rescue hens used to mash.
I was struggling with getting my three rescue girls to eat pellets; they must have been on mash before so I thought I would try this. They love it and their condition is starting to pick up after only a week on it. It is a bit more time consuming having to mix it up with warm water in the morning, but it's worth it as they are not wasting any and they are happier, healthier birds. I tried giving it to them dry but the wind blew it everywhere and they weren't keen.

Loved by my girls
My girls love the mash more than the pellets.

Twice as expensive
Good quality feed, however it's twice as expensive than from a farmers' supply shop. Normally only pay £7 for 25kg . Only in an emergency I think!

Dusty & finely milled, but OK if you add water
Very fine and dusty, but ok once water is added to make porridge. My free range Blackrock hens seem to like their porridge in the mornings and gobble it up.Only just started using so will update my review once they’ve been on it for a little while
