But you can eat oustide on it. I always feel so... wrong.. but so right. Mom, why do we care soooooo much about the china in the front room. We never use it, I have my doubts that it will make us rich, it's a constant hazard when we're wrestling, and now I have a problem with the country.Introduce Pfaltzgraff Chateau. It's a dinnerware set without rules, but still looks smokin' doing it. Doing, what you say? I just respond with, yeah.. turn it up!Thats when you toss me a mug to pour my sweet-tea into, and I drop it. Everyone, holds their breath.. but no need. It's ok. They are made of mostly expensive plastic.Everyone actually wasn't looking or cared, just you and your friend. But you both high five and clink plastic mugs. Great buy!

I picked these up for when we eat outside. The melamine is sturdy and lightweight. Should be able to handle drops without an issue, definitely safe to use around a pool or hot tub.Bowls are 6" and 3" deep, small plates are 8", large plates are 11". Size is perfect for our needs.My only complaints are the fact that these aren't microwave safe - there are cheaper melamine plates that are microwave safe. This must be because there is some sort of film over the top with a design on them. I only know that there is a film because there is a defect in one of my small plates. When I opened the package, there was a bubble on it, so I wiped it gently with my hand and the film wiped away, leaving a "hole" (smaller than half an inch) in the design. The plate is now exposed, so now I'm concerned about the rest of the design coming off after several uses.

The media could not be loaded.  They do clean easy by the way I used one after the video and yeah it wiped out pretty good again I just want to say it again they're Not microwave safe! They're going to be good to have handy for when the grandkids come over that's basically what we're probably going to use them for they can't break them and easy to clean. It's a nice little set if you're looking to have an extra set on hand for when company comes over.

Beautiful 12 piece set! The color and patterns are very elegant. I almost feel like they are too nice for the outdoor use! Even though it is melamine material, it is very thick and sturdy. Dishwasher safe! Even after several use, there are no scratches on surfaces.

I love beautiful fine China but I live with my absent minded husband and my stunningly clumsy son. Things nice have not I can! These dishes are really pretty they not only have a little bits of gold at the edge (actually worn so as to appear Vintage shabby chic faux French) and have a lacy raised texture all over. They definitely look like "company coming over" dishes. Furthermore the price is rather modest for Pfaltzgraff. (would I have purchased them myself at this price if they had not been vine items? I don't know honestly. I have never lived the kind of life that would lead me to actually search out Pfaltzgraff china except to virtually window shop. My other "dishes" are old lean cuisine plates and butter tubs. That does not mean I don't love pretty things I definitely do I definitely love these.Yes they are melamine (which is some sort of fancy trademark name for plastic). Nonetheless I am putting these away just in case King Charles III accidentally finds himself in rural Texas and wants to stop for some homemade mole and flautas; I will be ready. I even have some unused mason jars out in the shed so that I can serve him some Boones farm like a lady.

I got these plates and bowls because I thought they would be great for eating outside barbecue or at least the bowls of be amazing for my kids cereal L O L. When this set arrived, I thought it was glass not melamine they are made really well. The design is really pretty. I like that the set is dishwasher safe and is easy to clean. I also like that it is microwave safe and seems to be durable what I mean by durable is if I drop it by accident once it’s not going to shatter and do 1 million tiny pieces, all in all this is the win as these are functional and beautiful at the same time. I highly recommend these to anyone who doesn’t like to have glass dishes, but likes to have a dish set that looks nice. I also recommend these to have for outdoor entertaining as they are stunning in person.

I ordered this one for my wife. But, the design on the outer rim of the bowls and the edges of the plates look a bit messy and not as attractive as shown in the pictures. The feel of the plastic bowls were also as quite dull to the touch and feels like they are made from a very cheap plastic. These surely do not feel worth what they are priced at and perhaps that is the risk of purchasing items like these. Will try to return them.
