When I ordered this, I had in mind to gradually increase the weight of it so that I had some sort of control over how flat my garden was going to be without putting too much effort into it.The idea was to roll the garden, look back and rake it out, and then, when I was happy with the results, increase the weight to help compact everything.What I found was that if I only partially filled the drum, there wasn't enough weight at the top of the drum to help drive it forward.The build quality is ok, but nothing more than expected for the price.Thankfully, I only need it for one job then I will pass it on.I've marked it 4/5 because, in reality, it does what it's supposed to do, but it would have been nice to have been told in the instructions the possible outcome of not completely filling it.PS: I used kiln dried silver sand, not water as the ballast, because I didn't want it to start rusting too quickly. Maybe that was the issue 🤔

I’ve filled this with damp sand as suggested, it’s worked well so far.

Good roller, however the handle is not strong enough in my opinion.The handle tends to twist somewhat when pushing.

feels good quality not had chance to use yet but easy to put together feels sturdy.

had no problems assembly was easy , only filled barrel half full with sand, which was about right for my needs. i found pushing roller worked better than pulling it.

It’s a roller! Does what it is supposed to do.
