Home assistant
Easy to flash with tasmota, and working brilliantly on home assistant. Tiny little unit so you can sometimes hide them in the back of light switches (not always, depends how congested the wiring is) good value for money, no issues with the WiFi connection even in a metal light switch back box. Very reliable, never missed a beat.

Small enough to fit in a lightswitch
easy to set up and work perfectly. This model does require the internet to access the smart control though, and it does need a neutral either at the switch or up at the light. I use these behind by switches so the deeper the box the better.

Small, quality and simple smart home.
Great quality product that fitted neatly on to a light switch and in a 47mm back box.Works brilliantly via Alexa (WiFi) to switch on light following voice activation.

Works with Alexa.
Used this for an outside light to come on at sunset. Would have been 5* but instructions are poor and does not work with 5Ghz, only 2.4.Like most people I have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz enabled with the same SSID. To get the device connected you must.Go into administrator on you routerTurn off 5Ghz leaving 2.4 only.Connect the device to 2.4Go into administrator and re-enable 5Ghz.Works perfectly.

Really simple piece of kit
This product was brilliant, it was small and compact.I have used this as a smart switch for my christmas lights, it has fitted to the inside of an outdoor socket. The connections were simple as you dont need to use an external switch you can just connect through the device and this will suffice. This switch is really simple to set up on the app and you can program the functionality so that when it gets power to it then it is either on or off. There is no change in light output from your assosciated equipment. The cost of this is minimal in comparison to if you use it to automatically switch something off that normally stays on.The only thing to be aware of is that this connects into the electrical wiring so as an electrician i was easily able to install safely but if your not competent working with electricity then i would advise you maybe use a plug in switch rather than this connected smart switch.

Why haven't I seen these sooner?
After moving into our new home we began looking at options for lighting both indoors and outdoors. With already owning a handful of 'smart bulbs' we were not looking forward to the cost of fitting a whole house. I then stumbled across this little bit of kit. After looking into it further and contemplating more expensive alternatives I decided to give Sonoff a try and why not at such a price.I did get my electrician to install this product just to make sure everything was safe. According to them it was a straight forward fit. It was small enough to fit inside a metal clad two way light switch in my garage. I had it connected to the my outside light circuit. The device connected to the Welink app very quickly and easily.I can now control said lighting circuit from my phone. I have also connected it to Alexa. In this instance I have set a schedule for the outside lights to turn on and off at certain times.I can safely say paired with standard bulbs this is a much more cost efficient and dare I say better alternative to 'smart bulbs' unless you required RGB/remote dimming functions.I will be purchasing more of these for other areas in the home and further adding this to my home assistant setup eventually which would appear to a very simple integration. My electrician has also said that he is going to be buying one for his outside lights as he was impressed with it!

Useful but app needs work
Great little device and easy to install. Neutral wire required. Fits easily behind your standard UK box switch. Instructions on sheet are clear. Pairs easily with my wifi, iphone and Alexa. Once installed your wall switch behaves like a rocker switch (“off” and “on” positions no longer matter, just the flipping of the switch which triggers transition from one to the other). One gripe and unfortunately this is significant. The schedule timer function on the app doesn’t seem to work well? I installed this behind the switch controlling my daughter’s electric toilet heater and tried the timer schedule function. I’ve noticed the toilet heater occasionally doesn’t turn on or off despite timer being set. This has resulted in either my daughter freezing or an expensive electricity bill. I bypassed this using Alexa routines but that’s my reason for a three star. Good product so far otherwise.

Brilliant bit of kit
This tiny WiFi switch is brilliant. In the UK you probably would not be able to fit it behind a wall switch. The first problem is there is not enough room inside a normal shallow back box. The second problem is that the device requires Live and Neutral connection as well as the switch and lamp wiring. I've put my Sonoff switch inside a mains connection box in the loft space above the wall switch and ceiling lamp. I put the switch inside the box for additional protection against fire, (you never know🤔). Going to the switch, in the box, I have a mains supply, a cable to the wall switch and a third cable to the ceiling light.Additional :I have now set up two switches, one each end of the hall either of which can control the light as well as my Google Home app.
