Easy to use and insightful, but some strips fail
Intuitive to use, with virtually no setup—just pop in the USB once for the UA strips. It’s fascinating to measure and see in real time how your diet affects your health. The only downside is that around 30% of the microchipped test strips fail. Using the strips themselves isn’t difficult or awkward, so the cost of replacement strips feels a bit high. Overall, a useful and informative meter for tracking uric acid and glucose levels at home.

Useless product with equally useless supplier response
The Uric Acid / Blood Sugar Monitor arrived apparently undamaged. I inserted the batteries, but instead of the Date/Time Screen appearing, the Results Screen appeared instead. I removed and re-inserted the batteries a number of times, but the Date/Time Screen would not appear. As this is the initial phase of the monitor set-up, I was unable to proceed further, and so the product was useless. I contacted the manufacturer's website for help - as suggested on the leaflet that came with the monitor, but received no response. I did not return the monitor, as I take the view that if the manufacturer (Sinocare) were not interested in responding to a customer query, they might not return my money, and they would probably sell the returned monitor to someone else, and make more money from this useless product. OK, so I lost just shy of £38.00, but at least Sinocare won't make any more money out of this piece of junk.

Good for reading Uric acide levels over time to establish routines and avoid gout!
I have a tendancy for high uric acid (Gout attacks x2 per annum) and i thought id try this as guessing just doesnt work. I can see how my Uric acid levels rise when i am a little naughty off the menu etc. Its extremely useful so far. You blood sample has to be dripped into the side of the measuring strip not the top like the instructions can be interepreted as saying. Its top for glucose and side for Uric. Brilliant so far, memory for looking at last and easy to change from Uric to Glucose

Ouchie stabby machine
The good. It works and gives readings i hope are accurate. The bad . Setup and use isnt particularly clear. Before using the first time you need to put in the dongle to calibrate the sticks it seems ( why this isnt done before sending i dont know). Then once thats done you need to put in a strip ( or both) and stab yourself with the pen (this is more painful than needs to be vs injection but its a pin prick really use lvl one and work up).... on the sticks there is a white gap netween the metal framework. This is where the blood goes . For uric acid its the left side for sugar its at the top.. it needs a good drop of blood before it works there is then a count down... im unclear if its accurate as it regularly says low when ive had gout attacks ... thid may be me moving from high to low. So cant blame meter here... i assume its accurate...

Blood sugar and Uric acid tester
This seems to work very well indeed. Easy to set up and perform the tests. Very good that it can test 2 things at once. I am very pleased with the tester and would recommend it.

Rubbish
Rubbish. Setting date easy enough but when it comes to reading the strips, nothing. Fingers full of holes but still doesn’t work. Maybe it needs an armful!

uric acid ( blood sugar ) monitor
After some difficulty setting up as there was no indication as to where to place blood sample exactly. I was placing it in middle of window on tab. Also no code dongle. instructions on paper with machine & on web were very vague although all other instructions were very clear. I was testing Uric Acid. Finally found video on web which which clearly showed correct placement. You hold machine with test strip heading away from you. Put blood on left hand edge of strip window ( for uric acid ) and it will immediately be drawn in to right of test window & test will start with 25 second countdown. For sugar the blood appears to go at top end of strip & gets drawn down & takes 5 secs. ( I think - as I have not tested yet as I use Accu-Chek ). Finally I then found the batch test dongle in 1 of the boxes containing either of the test strips which fell out when I turned box upside down & shook it to get stuck container out. Why this wasn't put in the small compartment in pouch I don't know! Initially when I took first test machine flashed 600 where as code was 606. Tests were wrong or did not work ( wrong placement of blood drop ). With dongle in it showed 606 and tests appear OK now. However its early days to be sure after only 2 tests but I am confident. Will post further comment in 2 weeks if any probs. Hope this helps some of you to avoid my frustrations.
