I bought this espresso/coffee pot refurbished from Amazon, I was hesitant at first but then just decided to jump in. This was the best decision I have ever made (spur of the moment) and this machine is fabulous. The espresso is oh so good, machine is quiet, fast and so easy to use. We are so pleased, and anyone on the fence should go for it. Very Pleased and thank you Amazon for a another great product!!!

My wife and I love it great machine. We actually started coffee/espresso with a high quality grinder and espresso machine as well, but being a family of 5 with young kids and the hectic life of school sports and just life lol!! We found it was just too tedious for that. So I researched and researched and finally decided to try this machine and flavor I think is as close as you can come to our old way as you can. I was greatly impressed, only reason I didn’t do 4 stars was because the water tank leaks when used for coffee. I sure it’s not a normality, but I’m not one to return things so I contend with it. Also you have to order coffee from the nepresso or amazon coffee not found in most stores I think maybe Macy,s has it.

This is a very nice coffee maker. Seems very well built. My only caution is the cost of the coffee packages. it is a very different design that the typical K-cup package and it is easy to see why the coffee packages are more expensive. Over all I like the coffee maker and the coffee it brews very much.

I've only had this unit a month to replace an identical unit I had for 18 months, and again it's leaking coffee from around the bottom plate. Terrible quality. Also, the cartridge ejection mechanism doesn't work right - you have to stick your finger in amongst the sharp blades to push the used capsule into the bin.

I have just tried my new Nepresso after sending my other malfunctioning one back. I like the fact that it actually works and has hot water instead of luke warm. I guess those things are a low bar, but I honestly think that I will enjoy this one. It has a narrower profile and works well on my cupboard which is another plus. It's very important that the buyer reads the directions and understands the various size pods and how they work.

The quality of the coffee and the ease of use are the top reasons why I am so happy with this product. Additionally, the Nespresso team at the local Bloomingdales (Century City, CA), was also very helpful in educating me on the various types of coffee. SO glad I got this!

The tank and tank receptacle are designed in such a way that water always leaks from the tank no matter what (if it's filled). Not good to have a counter covered in water, especially so near a power outlet/power cord. This is a shame because it's a good looking machine, and the automatic controls are really cool.If the receptacle had a lip and the tank were able to nestle inside the receptacle, then leaks would not be an issue (I think the physics of it aren't dissimilar to a simple humidifier tank...once the water level reaches the tank output, then flow stops). As it stands, the receptacle nestles within the base of the tank, and the tank itself rests on the counter. There is nowhere for a small amount of leaking water to go but all over the counter (and constantly). It accumulates over time, but it is always leaking.It's not defective, it's just poorly engineered.

When arrived I found there was a small leak from the water tank to the machine. Called Amazon they said to send it back and sent me a new machine 2 days later! Work’s great!

I've been lucky enough to use a wide variety of at home coffee makers - from simple filter units, to more elaborate combination, automatic grinder and coffee maker units. Capsule based units represent a massive part of the at home coffee making market now. They offer consistent, high quality coffees that are incredibly easy to make - just insert the desired capsule, push a button, and you're on your way to a great tasting cup of coffee. The Nepsresso VertuoPlus falls into this latter category of coffee makers. A few things to consider when purchasing this is the types of capsules that are available (since you'll be locked into the Nespresso system), and the quality of the unit itself.One thing that Nespresso does consistently well is make incredibly sharp looking coffee makers, and this is no exception. The silver exterior looks incredibly sharp, with the overall design boasting clean lines, and an overall modern aesthetic. Considering the quality of the coffee that is made, this actually doesn't take up that much space on your counter top - it's got an overall slim, though somewhat irregular, profile. The unit is a breeze to use - you pull up on the lid switch, which activates an electric motor to open the capsule hatch and drop back the previously used cartridge. You insert your capsule, and tap the lid down now to get it to close automatically. Hit the power button and you're off to the races.The unit is quiet, and gets heated up quite quickly. You'll spend no more than 2-3 minutes getting your coffee ready in the morning - really, most of your time will be spent picking the capsule if at all. Depending on what capsules you decide to use regularly, you'll have a pretty variable experience in flavor and taste. The unit comes with a nice sampler so you'll be able to decide what flavor you like. I've found that the Nespresso line up of capsules is super thorough. Regardless of your perferred coffee taste, I'm confident you'll be able to find something that suits you. What I can say, is that the quality of every coffee that's made is outstanding - beverages come out at the perfect temperature for immediate consumption, and are incredibly flavorful.All those positives aside, I think that the nespresso capsule units will work for some but not all coffee lovers. It really depends on what you're looking for. For full on coffee connoisseurs that love to explore different grinds and beans, that ability to explore and that variety is lost with these new capsule based machines. Beyond that, while the capsules are now recyclable, I still have concerns about how green these are - consider the amount of energy that has to go into producing and then recycling these. That said, if you're looking for a quick and simple solution to make high quality coffees in the morning, that is something that Nespresso definitely does well.

If you're wondering whether or not the Breville VertuoPlus coffee machine is worth getting, I'll give you some help.Do you want a good espresso, every time, with minimal effort? Delicious coffee, with no need to brew a whole pot, hence, zero waste? A super low maintenance machine?I can go on.Here's what you won't have to do if you get this:Finding coffee beans every time and worrying about storing them and keeping them fresh, in order to grind them when you need them. No need to suffer with grocery purchased pre-ground coffee. No steam wands, no mess.The thing is, if you're looking for the best espresso you can make, you need a source of freshly roasted beans and a grinder at home. You will also need to fine tune the grind, clean up afterwards etc... Not to mention the plethora of espresso machines out there that can cost a fortune. No, you're not here for that. You want ease of use, and a good coffee every time.The Breville machine is almost identical to the Delonghi machine; I assume Nespresso sets the guidelines. The silver model is quite nice, I like the color.The VertuoPlus has the motorized open and close of the "lid" and automatically dumps the used pod into the container at the back of the machine. If you're looking for an easy to use machine, mess free, consistently good coffee and can make you a coffee a minute (when you have guests), you found it.My only complaint is that the cup holder is barely large enough to accommodate my favorite coffee cup (see picture), and I would go for the combo with the aeroccino milk frother, it's essential for a good latte or flat white.

This is my husband's favourite coffee machine since it can make both espresso and coffee. The automatic open and close is very convenient and it fits perfectly under our upper cabinets on the countertop.Super quiet and it heats up very quickly so one can have a cup of coffee in less than 3 minutes! The coffee also tastes really smooth and every cup comes with that nice crema. I like that Nespresso has many different varieties of pods available to suit every taste. I also like that it has an adjustable cup holder for all the possible cup sizes one could want to make.It does have one fatal flaw - it leaks! The leaking is not constant, it only happens sometimes and we can't seem to figure out what causes it. This is the only reason why I cannot give it 5 stars, they need to fix this leaking issue.
