IMO the definitive guide to the Canon EOS R10
Well written and informative guide book. Very complete information. Guides you thru the subject matter. Builds on prior knowledge but never overwhelms.

If you own or use an R10, you need this book.
If you own or use an R10, you need this book. By now you're probably aware that the so-called "advanced user guide" from Canon (available only as a download) is pretty much worthless. Many functions and features aren't even covered, and those that are tend to be dealt with superficially. This book fills in all the gaps, answers all the questions, explains things in an accesible narrative form, and goes beyond the basics to put you well on your way to mastery of technologies and techniques. I hadn't done any slr photography since the 90s, and that was with a trusty old Canon TX that my folks had given me as a high school graduation gift in 1978. The R10 is, needless to say, a much more powerful and versatile camera, but the breadth and depth of its features can be a bit daunting. This guide explains it all.

Super useful
Love it!!

Limited usefulness
While it does go into details that are not available in the online "advanced user guide," the book is poorly organized and fails to answer questions that a more novice user may have, even though it goes into total beginner stuff like the shutter speed/aperture/ISO triangle. The book's weight, while indicative of quality printing, makes it hard to take while traveling.

Not a fan of online guides? Get this, a great guide for beginners
I bought a Canon EOS R10 which is a lovely camera but the paper guide that comes with it is very much a set up and shoot with little detail and the main manual is online, I am not a fan of these so was looking for a book to help guide me, as pretty much a beginner, through the process of getting up and running and understanding the jargon.Pros: The book has a great intro and the first 2 chapters give you the 101 guide to get you up and running and then the later chapters take you through all the details. Good index and contents means you can find pretty much everything you need easily.Cons: There is still a bit of jargon that I did not know but Google solved that and have found one index item that is not where it said it was but I found it easily enough and neither issue affects the 5 stars.I would say if you got the R10 get the book.

Comprehensive!
Excellent source of info. Much better than Canon manual. Will help me understand this camera a lot

Expensive by comparison but worth it
I wanted one of the book for dummies but they don’t make them for the Canon R10 yet so I looked at alternatives. I saw books for around £10 but they look more like bullet points than instruction guides whereas this is a proper easy to follow guide with photos.
