Coutale Pocket, Waiter's Style, Double Lever Sommelier Friend Corkscrew - Black

Because of the fairly short handle, I think this Sommelier is more suited to a waiters pocket and working environment. While it functions properly, (like one would expect) for 'home use' I feel that were it to have a longer handle it would be more comfortable.

This corkscrew is great, provided it doesn't break on it's first day of using it, like mine did. There's a pin/hinge that has gone out of place and the corkscrew cannot be set in its closed position.The blade is serrated and curved. It works really well and cuts clean. I wish it hadn't broken as I thought I might make this my go-to corkscrew. I am a sommelier and have seen plenty.

I have used one of these for years, initially as my travel corkscrew and subsequently as my main one, so I bought this one to keep permanently in my travel kit. It is well engineered and I find it both easy to use and efficient. It was also very promptly delivered by the seller.

Excellent product. Just came back from France and saw most of the waiters over there using exactly the same model.Well built, comfortable to use, leverage is spot on, makes pulling corks almost effortless.
