Bread! Bread! Glorious bread!
My Le Creuset! Love it! Pricey and very much the rolls royce of bread/dutch ovens, but boy is it worth it. I've been making bread for about a year now and use my breadmaking as a form of therapy. The more I bake the better I feel. And I'm definitely feeling so much better! The Le Creuset makes baking easy and most rewarding. Yes you can make good bread with other ovens and kitchen kit, but I'd say if you're not an experienced or skilled home baker, this will give you confidence that your bread will turn out exactly as you envisaged. Even experienced home bakers will find that the simplicity with which the Le Creuset produces tasty crusty bread, without the need for pans of hot water in the bottom of the oven or the spraying of water into the oven, is a wonder. Let loose your sense of adventure as you try out different and varied recipes, knowing your Le Creuset has your back. Great results! Great price (I got mine at 30% off) and it doesn't half look grand in my kitchen.

I realised something about Le Creuset products after getting this!
I had my sourdough ready to bake on the day of arrival of this bread oven. The results were at the next level from the last few loaves I have baked. I am a rooky in the sourdough baking baking art and have only baked another four loaves before using this bread oven. All others were baked in a same colour volcanic orange 'Le Creuset Signature Enamelled Cast Iron Round Casserole Dish With Lid, 24 cm'. We have had this for circa 10 years and it has been very well used and has been the best bit of cooking kit we have. I am sure it will fought over when the time comes for a family member to inherit it! I know others have mentioned that the Dutch oven is OK for baking bread, but my bread was sticking in the Casserole pot as it has too high sides, and it was a pain to get the bread out, not to mention it did fit into my combi microwave, but had to sit on the base, even after removing the lid for bake stage two. However, this Bread oven is brilliant for several reasons. After the first initial 'lid on bake', I can remove the dome part, lift it up to a shelf in my combi oven, and get it browned easier with all around heat. Makes a HUGE difference! My combi is a Panasonic 1000w 28 litres BTW. So now my olive, sundried tomato bread has the moist inner and crunchy crust we all look for. The best loave I have made so far. BUT HERE IS THE 'KILLER APP'! I happened to try interchanging the lids between the casserole pot and the bread oven and they fitted perfectly, I mean like it was meant to be so! I have never seen Le Creuset mentioning this interchangeability in their products, but maybe they should because it doubles the versatility of both pots. So glad I bought this now!

Middle age culinary contentment
My transition into middle aged contentment is complete now I have this. It's a thing of beauty. My family are terrified of going near it in case they damage it, as they know my fury would be Immense. Love it. Great colour.

Perfect for baking bread
I ordered this to bake my bread in. Although expensive I was not disappointed. It turns out the perfect loaf every time. Well worth the investment.

Very good for that professional 'Bakery' finish to your loaves.
Right off the bat - it's expensive! It's heavy! but it's Le Creuset and it's a statement piece (and now according to my kids - their inheritance!) and it works ! I have a very good quality electric bread machine that produces excellent "square loafs" but for those rustic, straight out of the bakery loaves, with the crunchy crisp crust, this is the one! to get - treat yourselves, you deserve it!

Love it
Love this, cooks bread great. Make sure you lift the lid off after cooking and return to oven for 5-10 minutes. Cleans quite easily but does need some extra work around the le creuset. Makes lovely loaves of bread. I wouldn’t be without it.
